This scene broke my heart. Not only a lot of people lost their lives, but the students from UA had to experience a lot of trauma after the war and a lot of pro heroes wanted to fall into despair.

This makes you realise that Stain was partially right about his vision of heroism. Most of the people that became heroes until this point werent really ready to face the massive weight of being heroes in very hard times. The ones that will remain after this battle may be fewer but their wills will be stronger.

I really like how this season is making heroes question their purpose. We haven't seen such questioning of hero society since All Might retired in season 3.

I imagine, that in the midst of this trauma and tragedy...there was an 8 year old kid who saw Shigaraki as responsible for this and vow on the spirit of their dead parents to avenge their deaths by spending the rest of their life warring on all villains. Somewhere among the victims...there was a Batman in the making.

0:37 I love that growing, droning sound effect that muffles of the soundings until there’s nothing heard from the outside anymore. It’s a representation of acute psychosis induced by emotional trauma. The mind flees the outside reality and retreats into itself. It’s such an accurate depiction of a mental state conveyed through just sound.

This moment really cements that this wasn't some casual brawl in the street or even fight against a gang but a full blown war, something their society likely hasn't seen in decades and thus can't handle it as now it's not a message of who do they save first, but who CAN they save. It's harsh and brutal, though really it should affect the students more than the adults.

I do like MHA does show the importance of rescuing as a hero job to see certain powers like Uraraka's Zero Gravity to lighten debris and Kota using animals to search for people. Hero work isn't just fights with villains (even though that's mainly the cool thing to watch from an entertainment perspective), so nice to get shine from other powers that are more suited as a niche for rescue missions in certain situations.
