Vegeta had groth at end of the Buu saga, super took that away wanting to be Goku's rival/equal again

The time put into Granolah's spaceship design is a bigger twist than Black Frieza showing up randomly.

A big problem with modern dragon ball is that a lot of characters have nowhere to go anywhere so they just keep going through the same arcs over and over again. This is the most apparent with Vegeta and Gohan, but even Goku just keeps regressing as a character for the sake of making him learn new things. This is why I never liked the Roshi speech for example, and the fact that Roshi is even there to begin with, a retired character who hasn't been relevant in any way since the end of the Piccolo arc. The series should focus on the lesser developed characters such as the kids but that would require them to give a backseat to the main 3 so that's not going to happen. The whole thing just feels like a soulless cashcrab.

Gotten was cool in that mini arc. He finally had a character and was the calmer one for once whilst Trunks was a bumbling idiot.

giving Toyotaro the keys may have been the worst thing to happen to DB since Evolution. but, Toriyama’s ideas haven’t been much better. I guess DB is just gonna be mostly trashwater from now on.
  • @Emosh
Most of his interviews have been terrible but they somehow always find a way to make it worse.

I think this is something that is unique to American Dragon ball fans, you see Vegeta is only popular in America, whereas Goku is extremely popular in Japan and Asia in general and also in Latin America. Idk much about Europe. So its only logical that Toyotaro has more fun with Goku than Vegeta, since Japanese people in general can't or hardly relate to Vegeta. Toriyama tried to pass the Torch to Gohan on the Cell saga and clearly the Japanese / Asia / Latin American audience didn't really appreciate it, they want more Goku, so focusing too much on Trunks and Goten probably is not gonna be a main target for Toriyama and Toyotaro.

I'm gonna be completely honest here....I don't think a single person on the planet gives a flying fuck what Toyotaro's opinions are on the series. Even if you're the biggest fanboy of his...why would they care what "his favorite color manga is", etc? I know people are saying this interview is just a nothing-burger, but I disagree. It's even worse. We get fed sleep for dinner.

This interview confirmed one of the biggest complaints/conspiracies ever since he was the one in charge of the Super manga...he doesn't know what the essence of DB was (which would explain the character devolution) along with other odd answers...the only thing I can assume is he drank a bottle of Vodka before the interview, certainly reminds me of someone just throwing random answers out

I'm seeing a pretty big shift in Shonen Jump. Gojo vs Sukuna really felt like the Goku vs Frieza of this generation.

Happy New Year Qaaman! I’m looking forward to all the Dragonball videos, Dragonball what if videos especially Daima and more Dragonball Daima discussions.

Ooh, another boring interview from the Dragon Ball Official Website, I never watch these.
  • @frankcasamento74
Imagine picking the worst version of trunks who's not just the worst version of the character but a terrible character. And don't worry qaaman besides moro being an ok arc the rest of the super manga post top has been trash.
  • @jdrmanmusiqking
The Master Roshi line thats Toyotaro's favorite is quite literally the worst line in the entire series and sums up all the problems with the show ROSHI WAS THE ONE WHO TAUGHT THEM THAT POWER WAS THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERED! Retcons, plotholes, and general inconsistencies destroy pretty much sums up DBS as a whole and this line perfectly embodies that idea

2024 is the Year of the Dragon 🐉 If they aren’t going to move the Super manga forward I would like for toriyama and toyotaro to explain or do a deep dive into the history of the Universe 7 Saiyans. Their life on Planet Sadala transitioning into Planet Plant, war with the Tsufurians, and how they met King Cold. They could do Yamoshi, The first Super Saiyan, the origin of SS god. But I would definitely appreciate a history of the Saiyan Arc instead of any slice of life stuff. They could even have the story be told through Vegeta on Beerus’ planet and also have Beerus or whis interject since those two are deities that watch over the universe.
  • @kisenburg2313
It still hurts me how Vegeta's amazing character development that happened for the entire duration of DBZ, was mostly disregarded in seconds in DBS.
  • Vegeta had the best arc in super imo . At least he doesn’t just hang around like GT and do nothing .
