Published 2024-07-12
Oreos In A Cloud

Family Sized (1 lb. 3 oz.) Mint Oreos
13 oz. marshmallow cream
16 oz. Cool Whip

Break the Oreos into chunks, with each cookie broken into about five or six pieces. Reserve the chunks from six cookies to decorate the top of the dessert.

In a mixing bowl, beat together the marshmallow cream and the Cool Whip until just combined. Gently fold in the remaining Oreo pieces. Spoon into an 8 x 8“ pan. Press the reserved cookie pieces onto the top of the dessert. Refrigerate overnight to allow the mint flavor to infuse into the dessert.

Don’t y’all just love Melissa. She’s a hoot when she teases Tom. This is not close to diet food but oh my goodness it looks delicious. Thank you both again. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

I have a funny story to share about the mint permeating the food. My mother-in-law used to always make a special trifle for dessert, whenever we had big occasions to celebrate. Her trifles were to die for. Well, she used to use toothpicks to keep the plastic wrap off of the cool whip layer on top. My oldest son, who is now 36, was about 4 at this particular time. He was always up for a dish of Nana's trifle. All of a sudden, he says, "Nana, your trifle tastes weird today". We were all shocked, until we had a taste. My mother-in-law had accidentally put peppermint toothpicks in the trifle before she placed the saran wrap on it. We had tears of laughter rolling down our faces.

Who came to the comments looking for Jennifer??? I hope she sees this, that would be awesome!! Y’all will never believe this, but about 10 minutes before this video was posted my son and I were thinking about which Oreos could be mixed with whipped cream and taste fantastic. Then this popped up! It’s like I read your mind, crazy! Ty for the video!❤

I never even knew they made mint Oreos until a couple of weeks ago! I was thinking this must be a “new” recipe you were trying out! Who knew Mint Oreos have been around for at least 21 years! Learn something new everyday!

Wow the peanut butter oreos are awesome . I bet they would be great in this.
  • We make about the same Desert instead of the marshmallow cream we use a quart of ice cream and the dark Oreo cookies and the Cool Whip then freeze it. It’s wonderful.
