are we not tired of the "pretty girl "made ugly" by glasses takes them off and gets guys all over her" trope?

It's really weird to me, how teenagers in movies and shows are always worried about finding true love, their soulmate forever, etc. That was the furthest thing from my mind as a teen.

When Belly was eating in the gas station store, I so badly wanted the cashier to interrupt her main character thoughts with "Are you gonna pay for that?" bc that would've made SENSE and humbled her sm 😂😂

The worst part of this show is that Belly's only personality trait is liking the two brothers.

These "I look pretty after I take my glasses off and everyone falls in love with me" trope is so silly because the only thing that happened to me when I take off my glasses was people asking me when I last slept.

Why is nobody talking about how immoral this show is? I watched the whole thing cuz I was bored and researched what happens in the books and I’m shocked. Belly just jumps from one brother to the other, dates, kisses and sleeps with both and everybody acts like it’s normal? It’s weird and gross, not to mention they grew up like family, she is ruining the relationship between two brothers, she’s so selfish and out of touch. This love triangle is worse than Twilight, at least there Edward and Jacob weren’t related and Bella didn’t casually sleep with Jacob too.

I watched this show with my dad half jokingly and we were just raging at the dumb decisions the characters kept making

Out of all nicknames they could have given her they chose Belly think about that for a second

Anne with an e was the best coming of an age drama ever. They should make more series like that, where characters actually have a personality.

It was honestly kinda weird to me how Jeremiah was the gay, feminine, boy bestfriend rooting for her romance while trying to find his own male romance one episode…then suddenly hit a 360 one episode and became dark, brooding, jealous, and all about her.

As a current sixteen year old, my summer is filled with no trips and watching my friends do interesting stuff while I do a summer program

I don't understand why Conrad/Jeremiah ar considered "more attractive" than Cam in the show, he had an actual personality compared to the two😭

I think it's so funny that the most emotionally wrecking relationship for me was the moms, like I half expected laurel to come out and be like Suzannah, it's you ive always wanted. Their arc was much more organic to me than the love triangle

what really got me was how nicole left two teenage girls alone late at night in the dark with no clothes, and didn’t even apologize??

I’m afraid that every season that comes out is gonna be like Belly switches guys and ends up with conrad like what
