A clip from episode 82, in which the Hemulen's sister, "Aunt Hemulen," babysits the children while Moominmamma and Moominpappa are away. In this clip Aunt Hemulen makes soup for the children. And Snufkin blushes. Which is probably the part that most of you are interested in, LOL.

Episodes 79 - 104 are a part of the "second series" of Tanoshii Moomin Ikka; Bouken Nikki. These episodes were never dubbed in English and have never been remastered. Fans of the series often mock Bouken Nikki for it's poor storytelling and inferior animation.

When Snufkin said he was leaving, I thought he meant he was leaving for the Winter. I laughed so much thinking her comment hit so hard he had to migrate to take it XD can you imagine him being so embarrassed he tried to leave for an early winter?

About this scene, this actually happens a lot in my country (The Philippines and probably other countries). Let's just say people, especially the older ones, are quite conservative because of either cultural aspects or other reasons. So you will hear comments like: "You can't wear those type of clothes! You want to get pregnant?" or "Ladies/Men should act like this or that" or "You're a (chosen job) but you're a (any prejudice labels)?" I love this scene in a way. Sure it's played for laughs, but it also close on how others have struggled with those kinds of people like what happened to either Snorkmaiden and Snufkin. Times have change, yes, and I hope people who had the trait similar to Hemulen would at least be aware of that in the real world.

Interesting how she was more nicer in the japanese version. She only said about the anklet that it's only the type of accessory that adults use and she can use it as much as she wants when she grows up. As Snufkin came in and defended Snorkmaiden saying: "If it suits you, isn't it okay?", which Hemulen aunt said: "Snufkin, if you look so dirty, you won't be popular with the girls." Also she was called "Mrs. Godley/Goddori-fujin" in the japanese version.
