I found a great beach shelter that had been built on the coast so I decided to camp in it for the night. It was very close to a dog-walking trail so there was plenty of people to hide from. A very neat spot for camping, but a risky camping spot indeed! Late to bed and early to get up.

  • The little aside to the camera about having been crying is exactly what makes me think you're going to be okay, Steve. I know there's a lot we don't see, but just the fact that you're okay with grieving and being in a hard place is testament to your character. We all love you, Steve.

This man has been through a lot but still manages to be a really nice bloke. Hats off to this guy!
  • Broke my heart when Steve said he was crying between sets 😞 Steve you are one of a kind it's great you are back we all love you here thank you so much for sharing your life with us and how honest you are about things
  • I live alone. These videos stop me from feeling so lonely. I feel like I spent the night camping with my buddy, Steve.
  • The entire context of the video changes dramatically when Steve mentions he's been crying between takes. Makes you realize how much work goes into putting on a cheery face and making these vids entertaining for us viewers. Thanks for all you do, Steve! Hang in there!
  • Steve I'm so sorry you're feeling understandably down. I hope that you realize that there are 1.21M of us that wish we could hug you and tell you how much you are loved. I know you can understand theoretically, but I wish you could feel our actual hugs.

I think what I like about Steve is that I see the same fears and worries that I would have being out there. And he doesn't hide them.

Take any breaks you need and cry if you need to. You've been through a lot Steve and we are all here for you. If your next video takes a month then that's how long it will take and we will all be patiently waiting for our next camping trip with you.

So glad to see you Steve. Hope you’re doing okay man and remember to take care of yourself first and foremost. We’ll still be here.
  • I don't think I've ever commented on a Youtube video on a 10+ year account. You're the man Steve. Your videos are such a good, wholesome get-a-way from life's stresses and my own demons. Your candid nature and down to earth personality is what everyone needs. I was gutted when I heard of your loss. Being so open about what you're feeling and perseverance to better times is something I strive for. You're an amazing guy, Steve. Keep it up and hunker down.
  • My heart continues to go out to you! You've suffered a tremendous loss. I am impressed that you continue to show up with gentleness, uncertainty, and grief. It would be so fun and spooky to camp there.
  • Steve needs to get himself a dog, he needs a good companion to help him through his hard times. My heart goes out to you Steve, stay strong buddy

Seeing you be open about your sadness is making us all feel less alone with our struggles. Crying shows that you have the strength to deal with your emotions. Thank you for still making videos. You are giving us all hope that life can continue after tragedy. Stay strong ❤
  • Neighbour gives you a lift, describes raindrops as fairies, pretends you chopped his thumb off, and makes you a morning coffee… I like this guy already! 😊

I'm glad you're still making videos, Steve. Tip from a photographer, is someone questions you being out near dusk, just tell them you're waiting on "golden hour".

Steve describing a pile of old logs as having a ‘living area’ and a ‘patio’ is why I watch his stuff. Definitely a glass half full kinda guy. Love it
  • @breezyjr
Hearing Steve say he's crying in between shots, just hits me in the feels... I only wish there were something I could do to make things better...

I just found this channel last night. Bless your soul man I can tell you are a genuine and kind guy. Hang in there man it gets easier with time but it never really goes away. I’ve had quite a few family members pass away to various reasons in the past 5 years so I can relate. You’ll be okay man keep up the incredible effort.
