I have to be one of the few guardians who’ve seen Paul McCartney perform that song live. There was gameplay in background and it was surreal 😂

7:55 these dialogue differences made the experience feel insanely special. That was an excellent move. I felt like it really was my hunter and me by connection. That’s what i like to feel.

Cayde really said that crow had a yeeyee a- haircut

In the Landing you are able to see an Eagle, Lion, and Snake carved out in the landscape.
  • It's funny I'm a warlock main and when I did the wild card mission solo, he congratulated me on dodging the vanguard gig, I thought it was super weird
  • @novi0
Nathan Fillion just made Cayde such a memorable character

i would also like to note that crows new cloak looks very similar to a poncho, which would be a vanilla D2 reference

It took me a while to catch this one, but in the Ascent mission when Crow and Cayde are throwing jabs back and forth about who needs the others help. Cayde comments about their fight where he put Crow on his back. Crow replies that Cayde caught him by surprise, to which Cayde replies "well I guess that makes us even" which I'm guessing is a callback to their first fight when Uldren killed Cayde in Forsaken.

Huh I didn't know you can hear hope for the future in the tower as well in Salvation edge that's interesting though I wonder why the witness has the song in it's monolith maybe it likes to listen to it when it's carving the universe in to the final shape

At the end of the still hunt quest if your playing a legacy character cayde will call you his favorite if you play a new character cayde will say your one of his favorites top 3 at best
  • @javr9193
Never knew Paul McCartney made a song for destiny 😭
  • @rampage1925
Also hope for the future plays on the wall of wishes in last wish raid

During Excision there is a chance for when Saint appears Cayde will have a voice line along the lines of "Saint?! Wasn't he dead?!" Implying we told him about the stories behind everyone else's presence (Mithrax, Savathun, Mara, Ciatl ect.) but forget to mention poor Saint.

There's a rock formation that's highly referencing the carrier unit (popcorn) flood from Halo in the Refraction.
  • @ciandooley
the sweeper bot in root form is more a reference to the sweeper bot during the first mission of the red war where in the same spot in the tower there was one cleaning during the chaos.
  • Cayde plays iconic destiny songs with his harmonica, if i recall correctly he plays both remeberance and journey, im too lazy to check if im right please correct me

It is also a cool small detail that Red Death Reformed's description is slightly changed compared to the old one. The D1 was: "Vanguard policy urges Guardians to destroy this weapon on sight." The D2 is: "Vanguard policy still urges Guardians to destroy this weapon on sight." It's interesting to think who rebuilt the once Guardian Killer weapon and how it's really a good healing weapon instead.

You missed out on Crow being in Amanda's old spot
