Every god we've turned into a weapon! Guardians love to do it and we’ve done it a lot. From Oryx and worms of the Hive, turning a guardian into a bug and even A.I. that control weapons. Today we explain some of these epic tales.

My favorite part is there is a description on a gun that literally ends with “I swear anything sentient has a chance to end up as a weapon around that guardian.”

"Enough worm. You'll live, just like you wanted" not even 3 seconds after this declaration, Savathun's Worm sadly passed away, being fired from a grenade launcher, instantly killing it.
  • Calus casually becoming a minigun that tracks enemies and somehow does less damage than Eyes of Tomorrow
  • I like that it started as a joke that we turn what we kill into weapons and now characters in the game are acknowledging it
  • You forgot telesto. No gun that breaks the game so many times can do it without a will of it's own

the osteo striga description says it best, "victory is not in the unmaking of an enemy, but in the re-making of an enemy into your blade." this might imply that osteo was originally a living entity, such as a hive wizard (osteo striga translates to "bone witch" in latin) i also remember mara roasting us for neglecting to use these weapons, threating to turn riven into a weapon that would forever gather dust in our vault. which was pretty uncalled for, i do actually use whisper in king's fall... sometimes... occasionally 😒

the Witness is gonna be like, "let's see how YOU like it" and turn us into the damaged Traveler's Chosen

Back in d1 the Quest for touch has you collect parts from bosses in the kings fall raid. You had to kill Oryx for a part. That part being the Ravenous Heart, which would be Oryx's heart. (Along with items for the bosses. Warpriest to recover the Blade of Famine, Golgoroth to get the Shroud of Ir Anûk. Just to list them)
  • Guardian be like: -hmm -this thing was extremely powerful -now its dead -everything could wrong if I put it in a weapon -well, anyway

Wasn't the Gjallarhorn made out of the armor pieces from the guardians who died at the Battle of the Twilight's Gap ?

Cant wait until we turn the Witness into a trace rifle that 1 taps everything

Telesto ending up being Cayde's spirit trying to sneak out of the Traveller, but messing up the teleport again and accidentally coming out a few decades early.......in a gun. In a SPICY gun.

I like how we go from Touch of Malice, a gun powered by Oryx’ heart to further prove his belief in the sword logic is right to Merciless. A gun with an AI that just gets angry when it doesn’t kill in one hit so it shoots faster to compensate.
  • The parasite grenade launcher would do well with a Envious Assassin like catalyst.

D.A.R.C.I: What is my purpose? Guardian: You measure distance. D.A.R.C.I: OH GAWD!
