  • If I had just one streamer pattern in my box this is likely the one I would choose.
  • Nice fly and easy to understand tutorial. Thank you, Charlie, for the good tips and "how to" guidance. Definitely a fan of the blue color. Will have to add this to my box. God Bless n Fish on!

Different approach for the collar, thanks!
  • I tied this bug over 12 years ago, and fished it I was amazed with how many trout I caught on it wow. They would hit it so hard ,they would break 6X line instantly. I had to go to 4X line ,then I would keep them on the line. I think I lost 6 flys before I figured it out. I offered my bud a fly, he said no I'm good. And after 6 or 7 fish landed, he came up to me and said give me one of them. Lol what a great day!! What a great fly! One of my go to buds!
  • Looks like a fairly easy tie! Looking forward to trying it!
  • That collar installment is clutch, tied my first row up in some brown, will get into some other colors soon. Trying to get better at dry fly and streamer fishing and tying. Always something to learn. Hopefully they will do well in the alpine this summer along the front range
  • I fished this fly for smallmouth bass in Western New York , works great, also caught a nice size largemouth bass in Florida with it to .
  • A must for PNW trout spey anglers. Love black & blue! I cover a run with a 11' 4 weight single rig with size 6. Might go back through the same run with my 11' 3 weight with a size 10 with a small soft hackle in front! Love your content
  • A spritz of hairspray to keep the squirrel fur standing up helps as well. Just wash it off before fishing.

Isn't this a knock off of the Zonker?? A cone head zonker!!
