The ship can fail at any stage of launch and return. But no matter what, it is one step close to success with Musk persistence.

Boy, I really want to see that thing take off and land (however that will end). The first time they stick that would probably be within the top 3 things I ever witnessed in my life.

I think with every flight they'll improve the Starship. They aren't starting from zero as they already have experience other manufacturers only can dream they had.

The chopstick failure last night is cause for big concern. Something like that happening on booster retrieval would be catastrophic. It must be fixed properly and be 100% reliable.

It'll launch, I don't think before October...will likely succeed landing booster in ocean, Starship may or may not survive reentry. It'll be epic either way!

I am really looking forward to the first combined launch and land programme. I understand however that the outer ring of raptors on the booster will only fire for launch, there is no facility to re-light them. So if I'm correct they will not be used for slowing the booster down on decent.
