Nice dude you’re on the second oldest in the fleet! I just worked this plane twice this week! I flew on 904 last year which is the oldest and it was an awesome flight.

I would like to mention that I planned to sit in row 31 on this flight so you could get that classic MD-80 wing/engine view, but due to a mishap at the gate my seat was changed at the last minute by the gate agent, and by the time I noticed it was too late to do anything about it. So, I did the best I could to get this full flight from row 17 (way in front of the wing). What it boiled down to was the gate agent changed my seat without calling me up to the gate so two people who bought basic economy tickets could sit next to each other. Seeing as I paid extra to get the seat I wanted I wasn't very happy about the last minute change. I will say though. I called Delta, and told them I was not thrilled that I was made to give up my seat so two people who agreed to the terms of a basic economy ticket could sit next to each other, and they agreed that I shouldn't have had to do that. They compensated me pretty well in SkyMiles, so in the end I still ended up with footage, and I got extra miles! Also, don't forget that we are on the road to 10,000 subscribers! I had to laugh at the thought of landing in Atlanta. Ever since my coworker and I flew from OMA to FLL via ATL, and I introduced him to The Varsity at Concourse F, it's all he could think about. "What'll ya have, what'll ya have!" LOL (PS: A new Embraer video's up!) - Red

    Awesome! I flew N912DE from ATL-BDL (MD88) on March 30 and then N891DN (B739) from BDL-ATL on April 6.
  • Thanks for sharing. I thought it was funny that I saw the registration number so I looked it up on airfleets.com and saw that this flight was on there. I felt like I was the only one that ever did that haha. That is great that the plane is still flying after 32 years!
  • This must have been one of the last flights before covid hit. Great crossing of the Mississippi south of Memphis! And man you guys were LOW 40 miles from ATL!

This plane was built in 1987!! You were on the oldest Delta MD-88 at the time!

I like 727 wings better, that's what I grew up with, that's the engineless wings I'm used to seeing, I miss them.
