Miss those L1011 powerhouse tri jets. RIP Tristars. 1973-2001
-
That CFM56 powered DC-8 at 14:54 is sounding so nice tbh. :D
-
L1011s, DC-10s , 727s.....and Vanguard Airlines. Based out of Kansas City. Loved them. They would offer $50 round trip tickets from Atlanta to Chicago!

The year before our industry was changed forever. I had just started my airline career in 2000. These are some great memories including that Continental MD-80. Miss these sounds!
-
Wow the 717,CRJ200 and 757 is still going strong along with the 767s!
-
It's so nice to see the real Delta livery again. Love that classic widget with the black mask.
-
So many beautiful old birds and liveries in this one. Loved it.
-
Some great footage here! 👍 loved seeing those Delta L-1011’s and MD-11!
-
Loved sitting on the top floor of the Airport in Minneapolis watching planes take off and land, sadly 9-11 changed all of that
-
Is it just me or do tri-holers have a more shallow angle of rotation than other jets? Anyways, love seeing one of my favorite jets ever the MD-11. Awesome footage!
-
Excellent video!! Worked on those BAX Global DC-8 and Kitty Hawk 727-200 while employed as a ramp agent from Integrated Airline Service at KIAH in 1999 as well as the Martinair 747-200 (cargo only). Also loved seeing those classic Delta livery and the unforgettable L-1011 TriStars (flown on them twice). And Continental's MD-9 during the Gordon Bethune era.
