video should be called "best apple setup for photographers, WHEN BUDGET IS NOT AN ISSUE AT ALL" 😂
  • @blvksmth
A few extra points for anyone looking to get this display for their macbook setup. The monitor will also charge your laptop while its plugged in so you dont need your charger wire at your home desk. It also has great built in speakers so no need for externals. Lastly it have full speed usb C ports on the back so one less hub that you also dont need. Its a lot more than just a display.
  • @Viven_Lirazan
Nice overview about your setup from the past till now. Thx for the video with the pro and cons for every device
  • I've been at the forefront of technology since i was a kid in the 90s, always trying to get the newest and greatest.. and there hasn't been a single product that has had as much of a monumental leap forward than my Apple Silicon Macbook. The battery life, the screen, the ports, the processing power... it's actully unfair to compare to literally anything else. Workflow has improved DRAMATICALLY. And no, for the first time ever in Apple's history you really do not "NEED" the latest edition to stay up to snuff (M2). Have the base model M1 Pro and it chugs through 4K/8K footage like it's nothing. Haven't heard the fan kick on a single time and routinely find myself not even having to charge it throughout an entire weekend
  • Great video and breakdown of the work flow! I used to edit strictly on my custom PC set up that rips video editing. Then I got a full time editing gig and they gave me a M1 Max MacBook Pro and being able to edit on the go is so great. Now I split my editing 50/50 between pc and mac but eventually want to switch majority of my editing to a similar set up as yours 🔥

Awesome setup, thank you for sharing 🤘🏼
  • @frazerweb
Using macs since 1989 I've worked with loads of macs including the quadra 950 etc. Power now is amazing, any one can do this work now, where it used to be talented struggling with slow processors.
  • @AlexVideographie
Thanks for cool video. How you connect all the HardDrives? over Apple Studio Monitor? Or always over MacBook-Ports?
  • @212frankny
Congratulations. I did the same setup and I am very happy with it.. Greets from Germany Frank
  • @Havenotats
Running the same set up & absolutely loving it ✌🏼 There's a lot of hate for studio display but it's appreciated in the right hands
  • @Diesel1226
You should see my setup. I've been watching videos recently on how to hide all the wires and I'm thinking about getting a standing desk next
  • @66493
You are the only one I can find who write a video about it
  • @AnnkurKumar
2:45, can you write specs of the laptop you are showing at the time stamp mentioned. Where and for how much you bought it for??
  • @adamkrauss303
Food for thought. However, don’t think I heard your storage setup with an external SSD or other hard drive?
  • Looks like it'll be a great tool for you! If video was not part of your repertoire, would you have opted for something different?
  • Apple started a precedent with M1 back in 2020 (seems like long ago lol), then basically cemented themselves with the most balanced laptop with the M1 Pro/Max chips, it’s just crazy how powerful and energy efficient these are. I would not advise to get the updated ‘new’ ones unless people need THAT much extra ram. The extra 2 cores for the CPU are efficiency cores which improve battery rather than more processing capabilities and the GPU is slightly better with 6 more cores. The M3 seems like the next big upgrade considering they’re using the new 3 nanometer chips. Even then, these M1 Pro/Max chips will still be enough to handle most stuff, unless 8K/12K video becomes a standard but to be honest, it probably won’t.
  • @JakeHolder
Is 1tb enough? Just ordered the m2 max and upgraded ram to 64gb but went with the 1tb because I have an external NAS.
