2 things I never thought I'd see in a Diesel Creek video. 1: using a leaf blower to get a diesel engine started and running 2: Matt getting rid of a piece of equipment no matter how bad the shape it's in.

Someone at Milwaukee just got a call to immediately add a new DO NOT section to the leaf blower manual.

The old saying "If it works, it's not stupid" has reached a new level. It worked.
  • @TheMotoDude420
I know nothing about working on heavy equipment, I have never operated it, not even really sat in any, but something about watching this man work on his toys makes me smile. Another great video.

"Well that blew up....let's try it again with more Ether". <-----That's why I love this channel.
  • Laid up with a back injury. Lucked out with a nearly 3 hour video from Vice Grip. That just ended, and I though "whelp, guess that's it for the good stuff for the day" when I immediately stumble across a fresh one from Diesel Creek. All in all the day is feeling lucky.
  • Matt was a pleasure talking to you at the show. Thanks for having the meet and greet. Keep up the great videos and channel. Inspiration to us all. Thanks

I am 73 years old and been in The excavating business My whole life kill retirement. I still hang on to my “junk, junk”. However, the “junk, junk, junk” stuff is where I draw the line…
  • Attempting to get an old GMC to run again using every bit of ether showcases your determination and inventive spirit. Your resourcefulness in tackling such a challenging project reflects a deep passion for breathing new life into the past and reviving classic machinery. It’s inspiring to see how you approach this task with enthusiasm and ingenuity. And I am Floating Village Life.

"I feel like a mad scientist out here". Matt, you ARE a mad scientist! LOL. Keep it up!

Years ago when I was on the fire department. We had a pumper that had a 6-71 Detroit in it with a 5 speed transmissions. At 2-3 in the morning you could tell where in town that truck was. It had one of the most distinct sounds you'll ever hear.
  • @UncleManuel
I had to giggle a bit about that "precious yardspace"... 😁 Yeah yeah, universal rule for any collector: the more space you have the more junk you have - which means you always have less space. 😜
  • @video4belphotos
I do believe that this is only time I have ever seen you haul something away to the scrap yard. Congratulations!
  • @Ekatjam
The whole video I was praying you wouldn't destroy the grill; people pay big money for automotive art. Keep the lights in it and hook them up to an AC/DC adaptor and a switch. My friend has a Willys grill with the lights and it is a real conversation piece.
  • @ronaldgentry9923
I wondered if the ether blowing thru the leaf blower was gonna find a spark from the leaf blower motor,
  • Ol Scrappy Sam don't have a 6-71 blower laying around? I think Sam is holding out on you!
  • @keithlincoln1309
Let's get a roll of duct tape, leaf blower and a battery pack. Throw in a half pack of cigarettes and a full tank of gas, you got yourself a movie!
  • @moman0166
As i asked my mechanic about how he got the tractor running and with a grin he answered FM. I can tell you the M represents magic and you can figure out the F. I just roared laughing and went back inside.😊
