  • as Calvin & Hobbes once said, “The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.”

"...and I'm going to sprinkle in some thoughts......If I have any." Simon then proceeds to go on 10,000 different tangents (and I love it!).

"If you don't know, if you're new here, if you're new to me, I have a few youtube channels" the boy with the understatement here

Simon, you’re thinking of Heaven’s Gate. They thought that Hale-Bopp would make them metamorphose into an ultimate form and committed mass suicide in 1997.

Sometimes I feel like Simon manages to add thoughts even when he has none.

Simon: just ask your grandparents Me: okay heads to the cemetery

The beard is getting so big, it's grown up enough to start it's own channel.
  • In regards to your personal story about being asked if you were OK when lying on the grass by the side of the road, it reminded me of something similar which happened to me. I once walked to my local cornershop and, as I got near, I saw a pair of feet sticking out from behind the shop's wheelie bins. I stopped and stared for a second, no movement, so I cautiously approached to find a grubby young man lying prostrate on the pavement, literally wedged between the wheelie bin and the wall. I thought I had discovered a body, so I leant over and shook his foot and gingerly asked "Hi mate, are you OK?" ..... He immediately sat bolt upright and shouted "FUCK OFF!". That's London for you
  • I think a very interesting episode would be about: "De Bende van Nijvel" (probably known in English as: "the Brabant Killers".) It's about a series of robberies on a chain grocery stores in a span of 4 years in the 1980s in Belgium. In total there were around 30 people killed and 25 wounded during these robberies. No one was convicted, not even the motive is known. Not a serial killer but would be interesting I think.

Hey CC team! I'm a retired deputy sheriff from L.A. and I have been told I talk too much waaaaaaay too many times. If you ever want some good material or have a question I'm a huge fan and would love to help out in any way possible. I love all the channels and would revel in the chance to contribute. Have a great day, keep up the great work 🙏

  • We all know it wasn't Marvin the Martian. We would have heard a kaboom. And Earth-shattering kaboom.

They probably would have survived had they used the zebra mask.

I honestly miss the History Channel of... over ten years ago. Before Ancient Aliens and truckers and pretty much the only history being about WW2. I was weird and watched that (and related channels which I also greatly miss) while my friends watched cartoons and other fictional programming... No wonder I like Simon's channels so much.
  • Simon you should cover a brazilian serial killer called “Pedrinho matador”... he is particularly interesting bcs he only killed drug dealers. After spending a lot of time in prison he somehow was let go and today he has a youtube channel 😂
  • "Your brain on drugs is not communicating with aliens. It's your brain on drugs. It's all sorts of screwed up."- a sensible man.

I love all things true crime, but I come here for Simon's reactions more than anything else. Not that the episodes aren't captiving enough on their own because they are and the writers are really good. However, Simon's reactions are pure factboi gold.
