  • Hey Simon, in Belgium we have a criminal called Marc Dutroux, the worst criminal from our little nation. He kidnapped children/teens and locked them up and molested them before eventually killing them, his wife even helped him. This case was such a shock for the nation and the fact that the police didn't handle the case properly led to the whole police and justice system beeing overturned. I'm a big fan of your shows, hopefully you could cover this atrocious man. Greetings from Belgium

Oh! I was just thinking to myself how weird a coincidence that there were two victims named Moumou, I had to translate that into Chinese in my head and only then remembered that "Moumou" is basically a replacement for the actual first name of someone. So in the case of Cui Moumou, the full name is hidden and the public only knows that the victim's last name is Cui.
  • It's actually fairly common for serial killers to not list all their victims or refuse to confirm suspected ones. One suggested reason is that it gives them a final pice of control. Something that they can hold over everyone to feel superior.
  • Other non western killers you should do episodes on are Andrei Chikatilo (Russian Ted Bundy/Peter Sutcliffe), Tsutomu Miyazaki (Japanese Albert Fish) and Takahiro Shiraishi (The Twitter Killer). If anyone else wants to see these on casual criminalist please reply or comment the same so Simon can see the support for these being episodes.

the Pooh thing is true 🤣🤣. ‘pooh’ was used in forums/chats by the Chinese to talk about the leader in a negative way without being caught. eventually the government figured it out and shut it all down but i’m sure it was fun for a while :)
  • Can you imagine the hell that Simon’s life would be if he had a photographic memory.

man, i wish Callum and simon had a podcast. Callum sounds like a sarcastic and funny guy. make it happen on one of your billion cahnnels.!!
  • Ya know, it's a skill to be able to read this horrific stuff out load and not just loose all feeling in the face and go silent, good job Simon, you have a skill that most people don't want.

Yoshie Shiratori might not be a serial killer, but I think he's worth an episode :) He is famous in Japan for ecaping prison several times with more and more ridiculous methods. It went so far that they had to build a prison especially for him, to keep him locked up, but he still escaped. His only goal was to see his family one last time.

Anyone else find it ironic that the Chinese visa officials googled Simon?
  • I’m so surprised you don’t know who the Uighurs are, currently a persecuted ethnic group in China

"Communist China withheld information" does strike me as a reasonable conspiracy theory.

Hello and welcome back to another episode of Murder Blaze.
  • @OgreKev
Suggesting again Robert Christian Hansen (aka Butcher Baker), Alaska's killiest serial killer. This guy flew his victims deep into the Alaska wilderness so he could hunt them down. Plus, John Cusack played him, which means there's a chance to work a Say Anything meme while Simon is describing the slaughter.

I was actually arrested in China last year for not getting a permit to stay in a city for more than 2 weeks, as a matter of fact i was only stuck in that city because of the chinese covid lockdown, i explained to the police, but they did not care... i spent one day with the police and they put me in a cell and also i paid 600RMB fine for that.
  • @harmMMO
I disagree: Winnie the Pooh is definitely Chinas most Feared Serial Killer.
  • i have watched all of your channels for a while, and i am so glad that you came out with a crime channel, because i love your content and i love crime. LOL maybe i am late to the show and you have been doing crime for a while, but this just popped up on my home screen for youtube and i have never clicked so fast.
  • @kriswalker50
Could you do one on Derrick Bird, the taxi driver that went on a shooting rampage. Not seen anything about him before on yt
  • @comettamer
Honestly, Yang Xinghai sounds far more fearsome than Gao Chengyong. Maybe do one on the Blackout murderers of WWII Britain.

"winnie the pooh" story is 100% true. you would get banned from social media if you post winnei's picture, on top of that, you cant ever search the term "winnei", "winnie the pooh", ect, on any kind of search engine.
