What a crowd, No phones just absolutely giving everything and enjoying themselves...
  • Regardless of what anyone may think of them now, this era of U2 is something to behold.
  • As a Black American when I first heard IN THE NAME OF LOVE (PRIDE) it took my breath away. And even now when I hear the song it brings water to my eyes.U2 is my favorite band in the world; their great gift of music is pure Sunshine and Pure joy.I'm sure Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. would love U2 too!

just look at how much fun the crowd is having..damn I miss the 80’s !
  • @hoderharris
Cant believe how focused they are here. Bono was a ripe old age of 24. You can see the determination in his face and the band sounds incredibly tight. Perfect crowd as well.

I will always maintain that THIS was their absolute peak. Young and hungry. This music is what made them a "Super Band".
  • Proof that music and musicians can change the world for the better. Finishing a tour of Ireland, inspired in part by U2. Listening to their music provides a soundtrack for this magnificent country and people. May God bless Ireland and all Irish people. Thank you for a magical experience and thank you U2 for a lifetime of inspiration.

Younger Irish folk may not appreciate it but for a lot of Irish around the world in the 1980's and 1990's U2 were one of the only things we could be proud of. They put the country on the map again. A fantastic, fantastic group.

Bono's voice is a force of nature. One of the greatest rock singers of all time. Its Incredible how the original line up from 1976 is still together.
  • Forty four years ago the music industry needed U2 to show what rock music could be and why it was still relevant to our lives. This is another great concert performance.

Wow that Dortmund crowd were well up for it - U2 were shaping up to be the best band in the world - The energy is insane.

Gloria.....2..3..4 ...man when I heard that intro it was my cue to explode all the joy of my youth I had inside - and to be alongside hundreds of people feeling the same. I had the pleasure of seeing them in proper concert venues like this one. Weren't we lucky
  • Saw them on this tour in Manchester, England - still by far the best gig I have been to. It was euphoric, transcendent, incredible...I have never known a band have a such a rapturous effect on an audience.
  • Such a great live performance! A rhythm section solid like a tank, Bono's voice at its best and the Edge .. how he sounds is amazing.
  • @giovannimilan
I saw them on this tour in Milan (February 1985) and they were (and still are) a force of nature!

I was proud of U2 and I am American. I was 16 in 1980 and was proud of their stance and their music. Why should anyone have a grief over them? They sang true to their experience. Compare that to modern music. We were LUCKY.
