One of my favorite memories growing up was my mom making "Balls of Gold". It's still one of my favorite quick hearty meals. Mix Bisquik and milk to make dumpling dough, then stuff a small cube of cheddar cheese in each dumpling. Drop into a pan of hot tomato soup and cook til the dumplings are fluffy.
  • Awesome ! I love how you do not babble and you get straight to the point thank you!!!!
  • If you use equal parts bisquick and parmesan cheese it makes a perfect breading for chicken and eggplant parmesan.
  • 2 parts Bisquick with 1 part plain Greek yogurt makes great artisan pizza dough. I also add lots of dried Italian Seasoning.

I haven't used Bisquick in years!! It truly was a stepping stone for me when learning how to make things "from scratch." I've never used it to make gravy or cakes or even cobbler. Thanks for sharing all of these great ways to use bisquick.

We love the Impossible Cheeseburger pie. Just brown a pound of ground beef and half a diced onion. Half cup Bisquick a cup of milk one egg one cup shred cheddar. Mix and pour over beef and onions. Bake 350 for about 20/25 minutes. Its so easy and quick. Im lucky if I get any. Kids love it. I bake mine in a pie plate but you can absolutely use a cast iron skillet from stovetop to oven. One pan. No muss no fuss.😊
  • Emma's Goodies channel had a recipe for doughnuts/churros using Bisquick and plain yogurt, I modified it to use lemon yogurt (3/4 cup) and Krusteaz blueberry mix (1 cup). Just mix and squeeze out of a pastry bag into hot oil, fry 3 minutes or so, flip and fry other side until golden. Presto!! Lemon blueberry beignets! Dust with sugar and serve warm. Soooooo gooood....

I’ve been using Bisquick for a lot of years for biscuits, pancakes, waffles, sausage balls, and coffee cake. But you just opened my eyes now to more new possibilities! Thank you!

I was making Bisquick Pizza's when I was 12 or 13 years old back in the 1950s !!!

I've always known Bisquick is an all purpose mix to make many things. This has given me some new ideas to make Pizza Dough, Cinnamon Rolls, Pot Pies and other items too. What is really important to me is I can scale it down for a single guy living alone now. Thanks for this video.

When I make dumplings with bisquick I let the mixed dumplings set for 20 to 30 mins and it gets real airy and makes really fluffy dumplings. The one that you missed that I also make with bisquick is banana bread.

Loved impossible pies in the 80s, my 1980 88 page booklet of Bisquick Creative Recipes still on hand with covers falling off! The pumpkin was a favorite. Back to making the "impossibly easy" now I use sweet potatoes too. Love that there are lots of recipes online. (Am currently finishing up a box of a different brand) Deep Dish Pizza- Versatile great supper meal and enough left over for lunch. Ideas new to me is the gravy you showed here. YUM! but I think ... wow nothing better than Bisquick chicken and dumplings is there? Now I am hungry! Thanks for the ideas, keep on cookin'!

Thank you Nicole for showing us so many different ways to use Bisquick! It's been in my cupboard forever and I only used it for biscuits and sometimes pancakes. Great to know about all these other uses! ❤
  • @WingsDragonfly
I was diagnosed with a gluten intolerance and have struggled to find ways to replace many if my favorite foods, but gluten free Bisquick has been really helpful. But oh my! I had no idea how much I can do with that stuff. Thank you!
  • When she got older my grandmother always used Jiffy baking mix and the biscuits and dumplings were delicious! It's the same as Bisquick but it cost a lot less back in the day. I just ordered my Jiffy baking mix because I was out at Walmart and they didn't have any so they gave me Bisquick for the same price. :-)

I'm 60 yes old, I grew up on all of these recipes, my mom bought bisk. By the case... I did not know what pizza crust tasted like until I started dating. I still make the coffee cake. Thank you for the memories...
  • @melisanne19
Thanks for this. I am such a "from scratch" person, but this gave me some great ideas. I have wanted to make my own crescent rolls, so that is one I will try for sure
  • @barbaranardone
I make coconut custard pie with Bisquick, and its delicious. Mix all the ingredients and pour into pie dish and crust comes on bottom and custard and coconut on top. Love it.
