Thanks very much for this Gary. I've been binge-watching all of your 4L80e content and I'll be ordering the superior kit + transgo AFL kit today.

Thanks for sharing the information and procedures Gary. I might try out a kit for my 4L60E. TakeCare, Bill

Hey Gary! Hope all is going well.

Got a question I have a 4L80E that was rebuilt with the shift kit including oversize valve by Transgo. It shifts nice & firm . But once it gets real hot 1-2 & 2-3 upshift is too harsh it bangs no slipping. Been told new bushings were installed too. Could it be a valve body? This problem came about 2 years after the rebuild.

How much labor time do you add when installing these kits? Thanks

Hi Gary, I have a 4l80E with intermittent movement, One time you start the truck (04 silverado 2500HD) and its normal, and the next it just revs with no motion. I tested the line pressure, when the truck moves the line pressure seems normal, when the truck won't move the pressures are near zero. So is the port pressure coming right off the pump, or is the pressure at the port controlled by a solenoid that could be intermittent? Any suggestions? Thanks!
