What a cute pup! Great job on all your content. Thank you for all you do! I can’t wait to dig into my 4L80!

😀 I certainly don't want to be carefully put aside by you , but happy with the info on this video, very clever stuff and nothing boring about it except the holes of course 😊, see ya on the next one always watching from Australia.
  • Thanks for sharing, this is exactly what I was looking for.
  • Thanks for the cool video. I am doing the Transgo HD2 kit cuz I didn't know better. I just ordered that accumulator block off and that harness. Does drilling these holes conflict with the Hd2 kit? I do have a new sonnex line to lube valve so maybe I should just do the other 2? Thx J.R. I did your rollerizing set up as well.
  • You should get a hardened input shaft. Kinda pricey, but I think it’s worth it.

Nice job! Thank you! How did you work this stuff out? Did it perform as expected?

Can you make a 1000hp 4l80e build vid tutorial?
  • Hi, do you still use a HD2 shift kit to make your shifts snappier? Matt Happel ran a 4L80E with just the HD2 shift kit and that trans held the power in his 1000 whp turbo Colorado. So your mod makes the 2nd to 3rd shift a lot better quicker. Its amazing how much turbo power stock otherwise 4L80E can hold! Would love to see a price and sources breakdown of costs to add a junk yard 4L80E to a LS turbo build. Including trans, shifter, drive shaft and u joint mods etc to arrive at true cost. Thanks for all your great videos!
  • Amigo,, on a 93 chevy truck 4l60e transmission, eas rebuilt,, but still hits hard from park to drive,,, “ once u select D it jumps/ hits hard

What parts would be needed for even more longevity at higher power levels? You mentioned the input shaft? What else?
  • Ok u seem to be very knowledgeable I have a 98 GMC 3500 with the 4l80 transmission in it I lost reverse backing my camper up I bought the extension pin for the reverse servo pin installed it new seals then it went into reverse for about a week and then not at all still goes forward through all gears I can still do 70 80 it will go in reverse every now and again if I high Rev or if it's set for 2 days when it was cold any clue u might be able to help
  • At 9:07 you show where to put the check balls. The #2 in the manual doesn't show a ball, yet you put one there. I read the comments and didn't see anyone bring it up. I know this was years ago. I wonder how it worked out. I'm learning all I can because I'm going to have to do something like this. Other videos mention to not put the check ball in #2. I don't understand. Good job making this video BTW.

I built a 4l80e 3 years ago. Your build is almost identical to mine but I used some of an HD2 kit and did the internal dual feed mod. I’m wondering how you like the 3-4 accumulator delete. I didn’t do that. My trans is still doing great but I’m planning another for another project.
