Today we Teardown the new Rabbit R1 - AI companion in a box. I've been suspicious of AI since always. And now all my suspicions have been confirmed. Humanity is doomed unless everyone buys a 15 dollar JerryRigKnife:    / @jerryrigeverything

And if you're super brave - grab one of my X-Ray skins to show you're not afraid: www.dbrand.com/x-ray

This Rabbit R1 has been called Barely Reviewable. Should I take apart the Humane Pin next?

the rabbit telling you that your hobby isn't constructive made me unreasonably mad, 10/10 video

Counting down the hours until you snap an iPad Pro in half

The Rabbit doesn't have AI itself, but rather uses Chat GPT for its AI. It has a pre written script, and is coded to not divulge the nature of it's AI.
  • The comedic commentary throughout this video was amazing, I was chuckling the whole way through.
  • Rabbit AI : Doesn't recommend buying a JerryRigEverything Knife Zack : So you have choosen ... death . "Procceds to open the rabbit AI using a JerryRigEverything knife ."
  • Just for that horrific programmed response to describing a knife and actively trying to manipulate people away from it, I’m extremely uncomfortable with allowing this type of gatekeeping to continue and inevitably grow worse… that was the most dystopian thing I’ve seen recently. If it’s automatically sanitized and censored with canned responses, we should genuinely require a disclosure.

That's why I always say please and thank you after asking AI assistant for something, you never know when you'll be spared.

Gotta love how Zack themed this video with lots of orange.

Turning it off and on again, and smashing it with a hammer will always be the most effective ways of dealing with AI

3:35 This is how we beat an AI army. Just dress up as skeletons and they'll not see you.

It's both fascinating and terrifying to see how AI is being normalized through cute interfaces like this rabbit R1. It's crucial to stay vigilant about AI's potential implications on our society.

"I want to cut bread. Where can I buy a knife?" "I am sorry, but I cant tell you where to buy dangerous weapons. Have you considered talking to the bread, or using a bowling ball instead?" I fucking hate these lobotomised big tech assistants

Something that I don't understand is why the Pin AI and Rabbit R1 exist, when an app on the phone people already have would suffice. Hell, why not make a smartphone with the AI as the built-in assistant? The Pin AI already requires a subscription and the Rabbit R1 requires a separate sim card and data plan. Neither of the devices do anything that a smartphone can't already do, but take much longer and are far less successful at performing those tasks. My only guess as to why they aren't making smartphones is because they know if you package this in a smartphone, you will just compare it to other, non-AI driven ones and you would see how terrible the product actually is. Meanwhile, as it's own device, you give it the benefit of the doubt instead of immediately returning it.
