Lake Simcoe Ice Report January 31, 2021

Today off Big Bay Point the ice measurement showed some great growth over the last 3 days, with 6" of ice at the spots tested. today I also went down to Bear point and there we had 7" of ice in the spots tested with plenty of people out fishing. Be Safe!!

Thanks for the update, it looks like it did thicken up over the last couple days. Like you said, about 1 inch per night. Well I'm goin out Monday morning, and bear point looks to be ok. Gotta get some Whitefish on video. Cheers,and thanx again TIGHT LINES AND B-SAFE 😎🎣🇨🇦

Thanks for the report. I love fishing out of BBP so me and my buddies are always waiting or your report before we make the drive. We live in Niagara and want to know we have 4-6" before we walk out to our spot. Thanks again! Keep em coming.

I just ordered some whitefish lures. Ice looks promising for the near future. I prefer a bit more than 7" before risking an adventure. "That's what she said."

way better ice then Cooks Bay Line 2, Gilford side . I was at 36 FOW ice is 2,5 black and 1,5 white , places with snow, had just 2,5 of black under . Few snow mobiles passed by :))) I hope they do not stop.

Very misleading report was out yesterday at bear point lots of unsafe ice 5" one spot 2 steps away 2". Bring a spud and safety gear
