2004 rx8, 6spd. This video comes after the following:
-Gutted Cat
-Spark plugs, lead, coils changed
-All air valves and solenoids cleaned, vacuum checked, and operating
-MAF sensor cleaned (but turns out I only cleaned the intake air temp probe, actual maf sensor is deeper in the plastic housing.)
-ESS cleaned
-Throttle body checked out fine, but swapped with another anyways
-K&N typhoon intake replaced with stock (hated that thing anyways)
-All six fuel injectors swapped with known working ones
-Fuel relays/fuses checked
-OMP operational
-Compression not checked, however, there are no symptoms of low compression (i.e. cold/hot start, misfires with CEL)
-A multitude of 20 brake stomps
NO CEL!!!

This is exactly what my Rx-7 was doing. I put a New Fuel pump in about 5 years ago and it's already having problems But when I think back I don't know if it was ever really working prop. Put in a New Carb. Now this. Just one thing after another. Love the car, getting real tired of the problems.

You really shouldn't rev the engine that high with the car not up to temp. RX8 should be kept below 4000 rpm until it reaches temp.

hey sorry for the late update. fuel pump was replaced, pretty easy job in the end, but it ultimately was the maf sensor. car runs extremely well now! i gotta change the title haha

Keep up the great work C!

Oh boy! Tell me about it, what you see is what you get!

replace fuel pump, easy job and I found mine on amazon. you definitely need the tool for it, difficult otherwise.

im having the same issue.. did you clean the maf sensor or did you replace it with an aftermaket or oem?
-
Did you ever figure out the problem?

My tacoma Idels fine but when I got to drive it, it seems like it has no power one day it does fine and then the next I stall it and don't want to start again then finally does I replaced the fuel filter and then it still had no power and won't do but 20mph and jet bogs down then I thought the cat might be clogged so I cut the bolts off and disconnected it and still had no power is my fuel pump working enough to ideal but doesn't work enough to go any where

the problem is ignition in hight

Please change the title of the video, it's misleading to those searching for same issues, Dirty MAF sensor.
