AntVenom explained: the chest that was covered by pig spawners was actually a buried treasure chest and the game took the block that the chest overwrote and surrounded it with them. Also, it's a bug, not a secret.

There’s also the trick by putting a bucket where the fuel goes in a furnace while a wet sponge is being cooked after it’s down the bucket will be filled with the water from the sponge

Beet roots being used for red dye is huge, since they are way easier to farm then flowers. You can spawn flowers by using bonemeal on grass blocks, but it wont spawn red flowers all the time, and also spawns a lot of tall grass that you have to get rid off.Really nice if you want to use a lot of red dye for anything but wool. Since you can just dye a sheep with red dye and it will always give red wool, with only one red dye invested.
