  • The opening shot of your new white kitchen made me realize how much cleaner and brighter that color change made! Although I liked the green, I much prefer the white. And I love kitchen drawers. When I refaced our kitchen, I had drawers built in to all of the lower cabinets. What a game changer!
  • Well, I guess you proved me wrong. I really liked your green kitchen cabinets because they were such a pretty color and different from the usual white. However, the white cabinets really brighten the room more than I ever thought possible. Great choice and thank you for teaching me so many great home ideas.
  • ❤The drawers within drawers are genius. Often there is so much wasted space between cabinet drawers. Just like you I line up my dishes and also store dry goods in uniform (glass) containers when I bring them home. It really does make such a difference in appearance and ease of locating things.
  • Love these tips! Though as a home cook, I don't recommend spices being placed above the stovetop (I know that's such a convenient spot and you are protecting them from direct light) but heat rises and will quickly degrade the taste.

Oh, I love that hidden draw idea! Such a beautiful, functional kitchen!
  • Well organized kitchen cupboards and drawers Benita! I liked the idea of a small container (bins) to hold the jars of herbs and spices as it keeps things clean yet easy to access and utilizes the space very well. I cook all the time but this might be a great space saver for me as I currently have a 3 tier shelf added on 2 shelves in cupboard to see the jars but all the space underneath is wasted. Love the hidden smaller drawers within a larger drawer - amazing! All great tips Benita thanks for sharing!

Ooh, I love those hidden drawers. What a great idea for maximizing the space.
  • When you first moved in and wanted to change the cabnet I thought omg so much money BUT you made the right choices. Like we have to live in our homes 24/7 so might as well love every part of it and make things work for you. Great JOB👏👏👏👏👏
  • Clear labels! I need some 👊 I also do not enjoy cooking but I do not like to eat junk food. You make me feel better about myself. I am also happiest when everything has an allocated home and kept in an orderly fashion. Love your channel - thank you ❤️
  • Love your kitchen. I recently tackled my awkward corner cupboard and it’s so much better since I organised it with baskets that pull out and contain similar items. I also did the dreaded container drawer. Feels so much calmer now it’s organised

Thanks for a glimpse into your new kitchen. Very clever designs having two drawers ‘nested’ - keeps the outside look uniform. It’s a stunning space. I’m glad you’re happy in your new home.

Always inspiring, thank you, Benita. I have such drawer envy! Mine are few, old and so hard to open I put things in them I rarely use. Such a waste of space but as a renter I make sacrifices. Also, I have a tip for people who want to display their storage containers and spice jars but may not want to see the labels: I label mine on the bottom and will often add the expiration date. This method keeps things looking clean visually but I still know what everything is and when it's passed its prime. I have a label maker but I also keep a roll of masking tape and a Sharpie in my kitchen and will often handwrite my labels. Since they are on the bottom it doesn't matter to me how neat they look. Happy organizing, everyone!

Benita, you have the perfect kitchen! I kept rewatching to see how it all goes together. I’m going to look at your Amazon store to see if your canisters etc are listed. Thank you!
  • @MyFocusVaries
Your kitchen organization choices really add to the aesthetic. I really appreciate that you consider where you use items when deciding where to store them. People who randomly shove things in cupboards give me the shivers.

So many of your suggestions for the kitchen are transferrable to other rooms/spaces in a home. Another great video, Benita!
  • @Mel_ski
As always, another calming and inspiring video. I usually wait until Sunday morning when the house is quiet and clean with a coffee in hand (we have the same Bialetti moka pot!) but I just couldn't wait this week!! A kitchen cupboard clean out is now on the must do list 😊
  • Benita, thanks again for such an informative video. Love the extra drawers in the base drawers, very clever! And...LOVE Bonus at the end :)
  • @veegee3291
Hello Benita, NOW I understand your drawer organization and layout! So inspiring and lovely. Every item has its very own space which makes planning a meal most efficient and the best use of your time. Thank you for sharing.

As a single guy, I never thought about putting my fancy toaster & kettle, which I rarely use, away into one of the cabinets to make space in my tiny kitchen. So obvious!🤦🏾‍♂️
