This video was like watching an archeologist's documentary! Every find was a treasured item that tells the story of the people who came before! You have such an appreciation of the history and how wonderful you are taking steps to preserve or utilize your finds! Kitty steps in the concrete... now that's priceless archeology treasure!
  • What I love most about your videos on the summerhouse is hearing and feeling the happiness in your voice. You’ve found and are making a personal bit of paradise Thank you for bringing us along on this adventure. I always feel inspired after your videos to make progress on my homemaking and gardening. 👩‍🌾

There is something so special about restoring the old and forgotten treasures.

Much admiration Benita. The house and grounds look spectacular. You have done an awesome job. You can see all the love and attention. I’m sure the house appreciates the gentle restoration.
  • I love that old peg board you found! It looks great on the timbers in the entryway. So functional too. I love how commited you are to keeping so many original features. Good for you!!

I can't wait to show your videos to my Grandma. Her father was Swedish and she always thought about what her life would have been like living in Sweden. It's such a treat getting a glimpse into such history. Thank you for sharing. Your content is so informative and meaningful. Lots of love from the United States.

Not gooseberries, they have thorns. Looks like blackcurrants. I’m impressed with your hard work and by how methodical you are. Inspirational content ❤

I love your journey in this house! Thank you for sharing it.
  • The first time I visited Europe (as a teenager, half a century ago), my little room at a B&B in England felt like a cave: it had been wallpapered so many times there were no corners or edges anywhere. Everything was rounded at wall and ceiling joins. I remember wishing I had X-ray eyes to see through it all!
  • You really did find TREASURES!! And each one tells a story…….wonderful 😊!!!
  • So exciting to bring "new" treasures to light in your summer home! Particularly the time stamps, wallpapers, cat paw prints, lovely old table and loom... Proof that homes have living histories - and many stories to tell! ❤️

What a treat to see all these treasures. Thank you for sharing, and making such an interesting video. Europeans who emigrated to Canada created farms and tools just like home. My grandparents farm looked just like this, in the end. No one to appreciate all the treasures, at that time - so sad. You are doing a wonderful service to history and showing how much has been lost in disrespecting our past.
  • Loved all the treasure finds and the way you have stored them for future reference for new owners. The past is always exciting to find in hidden nooks and crannies cannot wait to see more updates on your lovely summer house.

TY for sharing your treasures with us! It's wonderful that you have such a deep appreciation for the history of this property and want to preserve it. This place could not have fallen into the hands better stewards that will bring it back to its former glory. Under your care this property will thrive. I'm sure the neighbors appreciate your efforts as well.
