Approximately 999,999,998 people have asked me to send my unpickable lock to the Lock Picking Lawyer. I decided to do you one better - I'm sending the Lock Picking Lawyer TWO unpickable locks with different designs. It will be interesting to see if he can pick them, if so, we'll fix those issues to make them even stronger.

Stuff: "These hinges could be my downfall" Lpl: "I gotta say he did the right thing because I definitely would have done that"
  • This is a really neat and impressive design, however I had an idea that might make it even more un-pickable. It’s just a block of steel. No key hole. No moving parts. Just weld your front door shut.
  • Mad respect for having the balls to send your design to the Lock Picking Lawyer!!!

Screw the YouTuber boxing matches, this is the fight I want to see.
  • Interesting enough your lock idea is very similar to a S-A switching componenent for a modern nuclear weapon, except the pins are electronically activated and when the proper code is applied it can rotate the safety shutter out of the way arming the weapon. 🤓
  • 6:45 “It’s a weird way to make a key but it works.” - “I just spent several hours machining these pins and just realized you can buy these for like a penny.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Love the honest sense of humor probably just as much as the engineering creativ
  • "I want him to defeat it so I can learn how to improve the lock" That, is an engineer.
  • LPL be like: “A lock is only as strong as its weakest link” sets the wooden door on fire
  • 3:20 The zoom poisoning thing happens to me in EDA tools too. After a few hours in a PCB design program, 1mm is perceived as a gigantic trace.
  • Some says there's beauty in the mundane and this perfectly encapsulates it, making a lock is mundane and tedious but it's inexplicably beautiful
  • Why do I have to wait three days to see this epic show down. This is just cruel and unusual punishment
  • @nosc0pe
This is the lockpickinglawyer, and today I will open these locks in 2 milliseconds using nothing but my bellybutton lint
  • I think it would be interesting to do a final review of the finished product and see if it could be picked, and if not, discuss other possible weaknesses. It would be cool if you and LPL made a truly perfectly balanced lock
  • Two wholesome channels coming together to keep us all happy and entertained. Awesome videos!

Marvel: “Infinity War is the most ambitious crossover event in history.” LPL: "Hold my pick."
  • Looking at your gear solution (4:39) I think you could make that work by adjusting the gear ratio so the bottom cylinder rotates faster than the top. Also, instead of using a single solid pin (blue in your illustration), you could stack short pins (red in your illustration) in that lower pin area. Just an idea 🙂
