Two facts about them Fact 1: Viva la Vida means long live life Fact 2: the part where it says I HEAR JERUSALEM BELLS A RINGING means when an enemy was attacking the church bell rang to warn the people Hope this helped!🤗

Great song. Even greater message. Long live life! Louis XIV, the Sun King, overtaxed the peasants and left them impoverished. Their oppression continued through the reign of Louis XV his son. Louis XVI, his grandson, for whom this song is about, was too young, indecisive and self-indulgent to handle the role of monarch. Spending increased, debt rose and his power eroded. Nothing Louis XVI had acquired during his life could save him. Not his wealth, fame, or power. It was all vanity, vanity. What had been marketed as valuable about life had failed him in the end. As he courageously walked to the guillotine, he tried to speak to the people, but drums and the screams of people silenced his voice and he was not heard. It was an ironic end for a king who would not hear the voice of his hurting people but would rather escape to more pleasurable activities like hunting and locksmithing. The life lived for others, however, is a life of legacy that is eternal. Long live life!
