People not in direct tax bracket are the ones having angst. They would like their incomes to rise and rise so that they can pay income tax. My dream is to pay personal tax of 1 crore per year as it would automatically mean that my taxable income is around 4 crores.

Corruption is symptom and not the actual illness. It's root lies in what and how you will buy with how much amount. Corruption is directly related to the expenditure one could to own basic needs (note basic need is here to be defined as per market, so currently basic need is dining at premium restaurants, owning intnl std premium vehicles, owning premium villas, have education from premium institutions, having worldclass premium Healthcare, etc.). Everyone who becomes babu with govt job, working as white collar job in MNC, businessman doing 1 to 100 for profit, etc.. is doing it. Until real basic needs are identified and account for only 20% of ones income this will never get resolved. Allow people to travel more spend more domestically, increase basic income for the lowest of the lowest and 90% corruption will automatically go, as Bhartiya mindset is actually savers paradise, not otherwise. 🙏
