Imagine you're just working in aldi, and you just spot three guys going around gasping and making faces at all your cereals. My first thought would be aliens out for their first shop on earth hahahaha

As someone who used to work in a warehouse I can confirm the cheaper brands are just the name brand that got damaged in productions bought out at a cheaper price sold cheaper by these companies. I was also shocked af when I found it out , growing up poor people made fun of everything down to your lunches if you didn’t have name brand. So finding out it was the same, and all along the bullies were bullying me over nothing essentially, was crazy to me lol.

I’m shocked you weren’t aware of this, I thought it was common knowledge. I ain’t mad at Walmart, Trader Joe, Aldi and whoever releases products under different names, they know these brands are over charging us, we’re paying extra for their name. I’m 100% on the side of stores trying to give us reasonable prices.

I work at a grocery store and one of the things we are told during training is that our name brand products are the same if not better quality and the reason we can sell it for cheaper is because we’re not paying for advertisements like name brand companies do

Honestly, this is just how business and marketing works. Major brands don’t want any competition so they offer stores the same product as an “off brand” so no matter which item sells, the company making the product makes money

This has been going on for over 50 years. My boss used to work at a Tropicana factory in New Orleans in the 70's. At least 7 or 8 brands came out of that factory all the same orange juice.

I used to work at a pretzel factory years ago and we did things like that. We would do pretzels for walmart, giant, Sam's club, and atleast a dozen others. We used the same recipe for all the pretzels just packed them in different branded bags and shipped them out. Nobody probably has any idea.

I feel like us poors are smarter than the rich/middle class. I’ve known the store brands for the most part are the same as big brands since I was 16 and started working at the grocery store. Yet it’s a whole video and I’m def here for it haha Go Shane! Way to be humble ❤
