That first "DON'T!" was laced with so much disgust and anger, I could almost hear Rachelle grinding her teeth.
-
Burn: "Are you me?" First Burn: "Well, yes, but actually no."
-
I love how there are 5 people singing this version, it makes it seem like Eliza is in fragments and is broken.
-
"they are your legacy, we are your legacy" GETS ME EVERY SINGLE TIME
-
"I see how you look at my sister" BOY WHY THAT DIDN'T MAKE THE FINAL CUT, IT'S EVERYTHING, THIS IS SO GREAT
-
“Your enemy whispers so you have to scream “ — literally Hamilton’s whole personality
-
In my opinion, if this version ended up in the musical, people would be screaming in their seats, this is the reality of how someone would feel if they were cheated on. The song that made it to the musical is still very reserved and very Eliza-like, she was calm, prim and proper, but in this version, she's not only burning inside but she is burning Alexander back and she's throwing hands.
-
"i see how you look at my sister" THE CHILLS IT WENT TO MY SPINE, best line in this song
-

I like to think everyone of them were facets of Eliza. The subservient wife, the disgusted woman, the slighted mother, the loving sister, and the girl who believed in true love.
-
"And when the time comes Explain to the children The pain and embarrassment You put their mother through When will you learn That they are your legacy?" My husband left me when I was 4 months pregnant with our second child and just last month he officially moved across the country to live with his girlfriend. Hearing this line in this song hit home for me!

I love how they focus on Rachelle whenever Eliza's pissed off, she really brings that anger out. Come to think of it, all the ladies seem to showcase different emotions/thoughts. Shoba for example really sells that heartbroken mother feeling, both in voice and mannerisms.
-
Eliza's kids: hey mom what's for dinner? Eliza: Burnt Ham Alex:👁👄👁
-
Rachelle's "DON'T" sounds like she's about to kill Alexander if he takes another step closer to her-
-
The fact that she thinks about the kids despite everything shows how much of a great person she is 😭
-
“I see how you look at my sister” HOLY SHIT THAT NO ONE TALKS ABOUT HOW IMPACTFUL THAT LINE IS LIKE FOR REAL!!!!
-
Angelica: “Damn, I dodged a bullet.” ... Eliza: “Alex sure didn’t.”
-
5 angry sopranos in a room= a burnt Ham. 😆
-
Burn: the breakup story you tell the world First Burn: all the things that you say to your best girlfriend while you throw things
-
“Heaven forbid someone whispers, ‘he’s part of scheme.’ Your enemy whispers so you HAVE TO SCREAM!” Hits different
