i don't seem to understand all of this hate towards him.
-
I think a lot of people are judging Phil on just the bad things he's done, and also like all of you have never even met him. I think he's all right and definitely a talented developer.
-
Some people presume that if someone is successful at something and gets noticed for it, they should file away the rough edges of their personality. Indie game development takes rough edges. It's exactly that pioneering, hard-nosed personality that brings about anything new or interesting, because it has the audacity to look at the status quo and say that it isn't good enough. To the Phil haters: what have you done with your life? Phil MADE something. It didn't exist before he decided it should be made. You don't understand this because you are just a consumer. Creative people make things for you to consume. His product was a huge financial success and it is critically acclaimed. You complain about him as a person. He is creative and used his creativity to secure financial independence for himself, which is something you wish you could do but can't. He wins.

He's one of my Heroes!!! <3 I hope he continues creating games :) life's not over, with that amazing potential he can come back whenever he want to.
-
I love you Phil. Great work with FEZ I really enjoyed playing that game. I even watched the documental called "Indie games" my friends and I really appreciate your effort. We know how much you spent doing this game perfect. It's great to know your story. ¡BRAVO!

Sure he said some offensive things, but considering all the missiles that have been homing in on him since day one, I am more prone to pity him than hate him. He set out to fulfill a life dream, and he got nothing but trouble from his fans, his partner, the media. Honestly, while I would like to see him make more games, I am glad he can finally pull away from the world that so cruelly attacked him. Maybe he will return to the industry years from now, when people are less inclined to be insolent little pricks.
-
He actually cares about what people say and it can really get to him.
-
the game is inspiring and incredibly immersive. I love it.
-
Even more?
-
I watched the whole thing go down on twitter. I was so happy
-
where have you been this past week?
-
Where is the video? i searched and searched and can't find it.
-
He's coming back!
-
It's not the meltdown people hate about him, it's the fact that he stole donation money that's the problem. But I understand the isolation thing, creation is very hard.
-
I now realise this, thanks.
-
Why is he so perfect
-
I jsut saw the documentary and i have a lot of respect for this guy and other independent game developers alike..
-
Want to link that video?
-
I've now read it in an article and am aware of the situation.

I acknowledge he is talented with making games. But when you act like an asshole and blow up like a child when someone says something to you with even the slightest drop of criticism, you are not fit to thrive in the market. No matter how great your game is, no matter ho little bugs it has, it's going to get criticism. And that is why I dislike Phil Fish. He is a child in a man's body.
