  • Only thing that pissed me off after beating the game was thinking now I have to wait 2/3 years for a sequel.
  • @dtanobo
Am I the only one who thought the first boss fight with Baldur in the beginning of the game, is one of the greatest boss fights in gaming? The first time I've seen two Gods go head to head and actually feeling that way. Also, I think the first scene of the game, with Kratos cutting down the tree, is incredibly underrated and really beautiful. Sold me immediately on this Kratos and really shows how much he really was grieving the loss of his wife. That final scream as he lands the final blow on that tree showed his pain really well, especially when you consider the journey she puts them on.
  • When I heard in game that the climbable markings were set down by the mother. That was just so amazing....
  • @DharmaBums11
Oh makes sense his son has those special moves. Summon wolves. Falcons, the boars. Animals
  • @OsaruKuri
I don't usually watch IGN videos, but this has to be an exception.
  • @pencilmyfriend
Okay so I am in Helhiem and Atreus says 'I wish mother was here' LOL
  • @PVRGE7
I really enjoyed the part when Atreus was just staring at brokk & Sindri as they were working together on that little device. Atreus had a big smile on his face the whole time because he was just happy to see them reunited as brothers...and he even mentioned he was happy to see them together lol. Such a kid moment. Beautiful.
  • @TNTales
I wonder if the fact that Atreus wasn't named Loki is a sign that his fate is not set in stone? Amazing game.
  • blades of chaos wasnt mentioned as that was jaw dropper for people as they never expected to see it again as the axe was the focus...
  • @ThePandaSupreme
When Kratos takes off the bindings on his arms at the end is just perfect and how Atreus interrupts and Kratos letting go of the past and his future is right there
  • Corey mentions setups for future games, and I found a massive one, I'm sure plenty of people have noticed it but I haven't seen anyone mention it... It's to do with time travel in this game and future games. I've got a theory that adult Loki travels back in time to midguard during the events of GOW4. When atreus almost dies and kratos takes him to freya, at one point nearing freyas house you hear that somebody summoned the world serpent, you hear the horn, only no mention is ever made of this in the game again, we never find out who summoned the snake... I theorize that adult Loki, knowing he was unconscious and sick as a child used this exact opportunity to talk to the snake. This could create a back to the future moment in the next game where theres some reason we need to time travel back to the GOW4 timeline and need to avoid bumping into our younger selves... Love to hear different interpretations of this, maybe I'm stretching, but itd be cool.

So many things point to Atreus being Loki, it's genius. Summons animals, wants to change in to animals. The wolves might not mean anything, but there's a lot of wolves. Odin is killed by a giant wolf (Loki's son) during Ragnarok. The serpent recognized Atreus, which makes sense because Atreus is his father and the serpent is from the future. Loki figures out how to kill Baldur. Atreus, makes Baldur vulnerable, leading to his downfall. Atreus had a complete personality shift. Was seeming on the dark-side. His mother is Faye or Laufey. So many small things that are clever.

Love the alfheim scene when kratos comes out of light and camera pans showing atreus' brutal rampage aftermath I mean those bodies just laying there tells you that Atreus inherited kratos' aggression it was awesome!
  • Damn, as much as I love the game, the last part really saddened me. The man seeks to make a connection with his children, yet is always away from home. Man, hopefully his children understand as they grow older.
  • @magnificent0215
Great video you guys but you really missed very important question who is the one that blew the horn of the world serpent when you get (sick atreus) to Freya and what was that very large creature that looked Like a Bird in hell
  • @its_a_fluke
It's kinda crazy that Alanah went from this to writing the sequel
  • @jackjohnson8305
Seeing him talk about cutting so much of the game during production due to meeting deadlines and technical challenges makes me all the more happy that the next one will pretty much be on PS5, hopefully the upgraded hardware will help to make an even more impressive and awesome sequel and seeing how he actually planned out the story way before making this game makes me trust this man all the way more, step aside Niel we've got a new Fav Director in the house!
  • @soiledsponge
The story Mimir tells about how a giant tricked Odin and built Asgards walls in exchange for a meeting with Freya seems like foreshadowing to me. If he did in fact tell her the secret to breaching Asgards defenses then we may have to try and befriend Freya again if we want to travel to Asgard for whatever reason in a future sequel
  • @ErrmNoo
Am I the only one who is wondering about the moment atreus yelled at sindri and the sky darkens and it starts thundering. Was that atreus' anger that caused it ?
