I'm 77. Thanks for letting me join your conversation. When I was 17 I listened to classical music for the first time, as a university freshman who stumbled into the music room of the university library one day. A nice librarian explained the setup to me. There was a row of turntables to play 33 LP albums, with large headphones attached -- the leathery type that made us listeners look like WWII dive bombers. The sound quality was heavenly. The librarian introduced me to Bach, Beethoven, Handel, Mozart, Chopin, Debussy, dozens of other composers. And to virtuoso performers, now long gone, but their music lives on in their rich legacies of stunning talent embraced by unique and mesmerizing interpretation. That gift to me at age 17, my introduction to classical music, has stayed with me all these years, and for that I am eternally grateful.
  • @PablooIDeO
First time listening classic music for myself, to reading. Its beautiful, feels like reading two thrilling books at one time, first with words and second with notes
  • @emilie3907
I am on my first day of college right now. I will come back here in four years with perfect scores and a new life. Wish me luck! Edit: It's going good! I have finished a couple of courses already but I know that I can work harder. I got good grades for my math course so Im happy about that. I'll update you guys in a few more months. THANK YOU for sooo many positive comments. You guys motivated me to work harder 😊

I was 17 once... in 1977. The only thing better than being 17 is being 18, then 19, then 20 and on and on. Enjoy every minute of your life cause I think its gonna be a great one.
  • @SkeletonHats
I can't count how many times I've come back to this video while I'm writing. It's enough mental stimulation to stop me thinking of anything but my work, but not enough to distract me from my writing. Perfect.
  • @Mooncloudxx_.
as someone born in the 1800s this was very nostalgic. Thank you for this beautiful masterpiece
  • @85MMM
I'm currently in the hospital suffering a horrible miscarriage. This has brought me comfort.
  • @WoodLard
I'm a 4 month old fetus and this is really great music. I wish other fetuses like me would have such an exquisite taste as mine.
  • 0:00 Held my dog named Buddy. My golden retriever to this by our fire pit as we was passing away 😢 He loved his classical music and backyard time with his poppa ❤ Everytime I hear this song it stops me in my tracks and for a minute I'm taken back 3 years ago to that June evening. .Miss my good boy ❤
  • @eric1172
As a student I would spend countless hours studying while listening to this music compilation. Now, as a neuroscientist, I listen to this same video for countless hours while processing data and writing grant proposals! I even bought a clavinova piano to attempt to learn some of the easier pieces (not going well thus far, I need classes and more practice time haha).
  • @MrLGD1234
There comes a time in every man's life when he discovers he enjoys classical music.
