#Celestials #Eternals #Ego #Ashirem #Jemiah #Eson #Lore #KeyIssues #MCU
Eternals is out now, and with this new entry comes a literal dump truck of brand new lore relating to the cosmic side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
However, it's undeniable that one of the most interesting aspects of the film is the reintroduction of the insanely powerful race of cosmic beings known as the Celestials. This video is going to break down the cosmic beings as we know them within the MCU. Now, keep in mind, we are not going to be covering their counterparts within the comics… but we may reference them if need be, this video is purely discussing the MCU
From Jemiah, Eson, Ashirem to Ego, we breakdown each and every Celestial!

The scene with Arishem at the end of Eternals gave me chills... what an introduction to humanity
-
If Galactus looks as good as Arishem and the other celestials in Eternals, it’s gunna be a hype af phase 4 and 5.
-
The only reason sersi could kill a celestial was because they were connected to the celestial itself, not just the other eternals
-
Imagine seeing a celestial in real life looking over the earth. Absolutely terrifying
-
I love that they introduced The Celestials, it only opens up the future of the MCU to other cosmic entities like Galactus
-
I think Thanos’ origin just got deeper too. So him reducing life meant that the cycle of destruction and creation would slow thus acting to counter the Celestials directives. This also begs the question who the next big bad will be, and I’m thinking it will be Galactus. Because Galactus could be on his own mission to keep the Celestials numbers low as a mean to maintain balance in the cosmos. Eternity is also out there somewhere so I wonder if we’ll see the Living Tribunal.

The story behind Tiamut and the way they portray it in the movie is very interesting by saying that Tiamut him self agreed to him being sacrificed and helped them in favor of earth.

I like the idea that Knull killed the celetial who's head is Knowwhere before Ego could be seeded. Thinking that a celestial seed could not survive without a host planet, Knull left Ego in the darkness to die. But, Ego survived and grew through gathering energy from the cosmic background radiation and eventually became what he thought he should.
-
The skull of 'no-where' I believe was the result of a battle between the celestials and Knull using the necro-sword. I think.
-
They strong and don’t care about any life they create. They also are big, HUGE even.
-
Incredibly Thanos wasn't just right, he was also saving earth. Rip you gentle purple legend.
-
I personally think that Ego was a seed that never got a planet to emerge from. But somehow still came to be on it’s own. He mentions that he was completely alone, i feel it’s impossible he doesn’t know about the other celestials. So maybe he lied. Or maybe he had a planet and just before he emerged, Galactus showed up and ate his birth planet and pooped him out as just a seed. Ate his body in the process.

Decimation means the destruction of 10%. It originated as a punishment for incompetent or disloyal Roman legions where one in ten were put to death.
-
yo, before I even watch. The Celestial's designs were BEAUTIFUL! I will forever love the art team or person for making them look that way. stunning.

-
The celestial head of knowwhere was removed through knull, the symbiote god using the power of the first symbiote, the all black, also the weapon of choice for the main villain in the upcoming Thor love and thunder, portrayed by Christian bale, gorr the god butcher
-
Jemiah was most likely killed by Knull when he killed a celestial with All Black the Necro-Sword
-
So is there a possibility Galactus could be a villain in this Phase or at least be introduced as a character in the lore
-
Arishem was great. I hope that he has multiple appearances in the movies moving forward.
