I had a good friend who had a cold father. Not a hugging man, or person who could convey his feelings very well. She longed to know her father, but he seemed to simply be a stranger in the same home. They would get into fights sometimes. Go into separate rooms. But always, he would come out eventually, and play some sad piano. This would bring her out. She would sit quietly, and just listen. Though he could not find his words, he could find them in song. Piano, it seemed, was his love language. Sometimes she would cry as he played. And they would try talking again after, with different energy. I was so happy to see that she knew that this way his way of bridging gaps. I saw this by seeing the sadness on her face as he played. I've always had an appreciation of music since then. Specifically the piano. Been many years since I've seen them i hope they are doing well. And for anyone reading. Hope you are too.

I know it said "Most Emotional Masterpieces" but I didn't think I'd be sitting here questioning life this hard while trying to write a paper. My cat seems to be having a deep spiritual awakening as well. Wow. I LOVED this, and so did my cat.
  • My baby was born in hospital. during our first night my girlfriend was beside me asleep and my newborn sleeping on my chest I cried as I processed everything listening to this whole video. thank you who ever uploaded this

Classical music feels like something to live for. You just start playing it and life for some reason doesn’t seem that complicated anymore. It just starts to feel so right, like everything is exactly how it is supposed to be, even if it is a mess.

Liebestraum always brings out certain flowing, evanescent emotions that I can't describe with words. It's such a beautiful piece. So reflective of how I view love to be. Fleeting, exciting, wrenching. Builds up in intensity until you are struck hard with it, but slowly begins to fizzle, leaving you with the same even, familiar feelings you had before. Not bad. Not unhappy. They aren't nearly as intense as they were, but they're still there. Still affecting you. Bringing emotions into your mind and into your heart, running through your system. I love the piece so much.
  • Liszt reminds me that me and myself can be happy and feel love without anything and anyone else.

So grateful to possess the ability to experience such emotive art. Incredibly humbling. Beautiful. No superlatives are enough to adequately describe this genius.

Watched the 1948 movie Letter From an Unknown Woman as an impressible young girl. MANY years later I took a beginners Piano Class in college. One day our teacher Joan Thompson played Liszt’s Un Sospiro for us. It was her mother’s (who had passed away) favorite. I couldn’t believe it❣️❣️. The same music played throughout the entire the movie I fell in love with as a very young girl❣️. It remains my favorite classical piece.
