  • So schade!

Oh my goodness... I thought this was clickbait and was happy to see a successful landing. SOOOOO unfortunate and heart breaking for such an exquisitely built and flown model. My condolences to the craftsman and pilot for the painful loss.

Stinking hidden rabbit hole destroys an incredible expensive model.
  • This is the most beautiful flying field I've ever seen. I was waiting to see Julie Andrews sing and dance across the meadow. In slow motion, it looks like the left rear wheel collapsed on touchdown causing the helicopter to roll. Hopefully it can be restored to pre-crash conditions without too much trouble. An absolutely beautiful aircraft. Heartbreaking to see this happen.

Absolutely fantastic work in building such a fantastic scale model! Great flying and looks like the damage relatively limited, I was worried the flight was going to end a lot worse, based on the video title. I’m sure it’ll be flying again soon :) Gorgeous scenery and place to fly too :)

Beautiful model, Beautiful weather and flight control. I never guessed the crashed would happend like this. That was unpredictable.
  • I fly a lot of helicopters and they are two mistakes that were made during landing. Never land a helicopter at a right angle from your point of view, as it is hard to tell if you're perfectly level and not drifting from side to side. Always land with the nose pointing directly away from you. If you helicopter starts to tilt after landing all you need to recover is quickly take off again. That is the only option! Never try to recover when on the ground.

Super model i pilot. ! Pozdrawiam i życzę udanych lotów

Smooth flying. Its so frustrating to get a rig flying the way you want only to have something like that to happen.

Such a beautiful aircraft and scenery. It was a privilege to watch that flight. I know it will be back, but what a heart breaker!

  • @kevens
For those of us who fly, we know his pain too well. I look forward to see this bird all fixed up and flying again.

I've worked on the real Super Pumas in the past. Beast of a machine.

Slope landing is always a problem with manned helicopters. We don't want to do it if it can be avoided. You can run out of control authority (cyclic stick) before both sides are on the ground. This is practiced routinely with manned helicopters so that you can feel the balance on one side as you lower further. If you start to run out of control authority (still need some cyclic control ability to compensate for wind gust etc), you pick back up and try a new spot. In unimproved locations you always need to be ready for a rock or hole ! This is an impressive build suitable for movie work.
  • @hannes00ful
Beautiful helicopter beautifully flown on a beautiful location. Looks like limited damage thankfully.

The cameraman's breathing makes me believe he's enjoying this a little too much XD
