The funniest thing to me about Sansa's plot this season is that Season 1 Sansa would unironically have been more competent than Season 6 Sansa at retaking Winterfell, because she'd have accepted the offer of a large army immediately rather than fancying that she could do it herself and then getting conclusively proven wrong.
  • Kinslaying was so frowned upon that even Walder Frey wouldn't do it and spared Edmure's life since he was his son in law. But Euron somehow manages to claim the throne by bragging about it.

“I guess nobody in the writers room cared much about this” could literally be the name of the season 6,7,8 boxset lmao
  • The North tragically has amnesia water as a supply to drink now, so they just keep forgetting to inform Ramsay about the Army of the Vale being there.

One of the most striking things between the early seasons and the late ones is how boring the costume design becomes. There used to be a shit ton of personality to what everyone wore, but by the end it was all just variations of black and brown and maybe a little red or white. Still impeccably crafted. But boring. Or just completely anachronistic.

Your jetpack joke has more consistency than the plot of The Dragon Show, very well done
  • Petyr: I trusted a stranger. I made a mistake. gives Sansa to the house with a flayed man as their sigil sure that will go down well
  • @jmace2424
Petyr’s downfall came from the fact that he read the books but not the script!

I'm so glad someone pointed the lack of heraldry in the Kingsmoot. It always felt the show slowly forgot about vassals and bannerman towards the last seasons (aside from a few northmen of course) and it really broke immersion for me.

The words, “I underestimated a stranger” would only ever come out of Littlefinger’s mouth if he was trying to feign stupidity as some kind of 4D chess move

i always wondered what did arya really think about the play, like she sympathised with cersei but also apparently just found out that her sister as captive was married off to tyrion, is a suspect in the murder of joffrey and is on the run and she just … doesn’t react ???

My favorite Baelish line was "The grind is all there is"
  • @akaErma
The Petyr montage at the 9 min mark is chef's kiss
  • Remember when the Kingsroad was dangerous because of the wars and such? The Bolton’s must be pretty damn good Wardens of the North to make solo passage through the entirety of their kingdom safe for even the likes of Littlefinger. Why should any Northerner or even any Westerosi want the Starks back in Winterfell when the Bolton’s have done such a job with their new post? Blind Loyalty????

"He was a normal kid, apart from the Dunk genes." I always forget that both Hodor/Willas and Brienne are descendants of Ser Duncan the Tall and therefore are related. Thanks for reminding me 😂

I'm actually thankful for how they did the Hodor scene in this. It's really bad and pointless and everything the same scene in GRRM's version won't be. It gives off vibes similar to reading a Wikipedia plot synopsis and recreating the scene just off of those few sentences. GRRM's version will at the very least make sense and have a point. I've gone in and read the synopsis, and now I get to actually experience the scene as intended.

Westeros seriously started feeling like a neighborhood. Everyone has that brooding look (looking at you dark bearded lannisters). Costumes feel more star warry and you can't distinguish between houses. And people say that season 6 was masterpiece as well.
  • It confuses me that the Iron Born hated Balon Greyjoy...especially to a point where they don't care that he died, yet they took the time to find his body and cast his body to the Drowned God.
