Honestly it'd be hilarious if there was actually a win condition and I just barely managed to miss it somehow.

As a sm64 speedrunner myself, the second I saw that timer, I went mach speed. I reached the top with like 10 seconds left

Well it does say that your objective is to leave, not collect a star. By turning off the game, Mario gets to live another day.

Maybe the win condition is the flowers the game keeps potining too? Idk if it's even in the map at this point but if it is then Idk it may be worth a shot. 🤷

I think it would've been neat for there to actually be a a star up there. An alternative ending would've be interesting.

It makes sense there to be no "win condition", the objective is not to reach the top, its to "leave" It would be funny if the alternate ending is just closing the game when the timer is running

I was wondering what would happen if you hide in the patch of flowers near the arrow signs pointing down while the glitched mario chases you.

there is an win condition. stay there and mario lives. or just run from that glitchy mario or go speedrun mode to dodge the scari mario

I was able to beat the clock by 26 seconds and there is no star. I really hope there's actually some secret to get the fifth star and get the "good ending".
