One of the dancers, April Corley, was mistakenly bombed by an helicopter while in vacation in Western Egypt with a tour group. She will not be able to continue her dance career because of the injuries she sustained. Her longtime boyfriend Rafael died in the attack. This is one of the greatest videos of all time. My heart breaks knowing what happened to her.

Chet Faker is dead in a crash. The 3 rollerbladers are the 3 girls rolling towards him are the fates, the three sister deities, as portrayed in greek mythology, that "cut the string" of life when someone dies, they decide fates, etc. He isn't dead yet because the fates turn back and decide to give him a second chance.

Years laterβ¦. I canβt ever get over or love another video more than this one. I ALWAYS come back. It stays rent free in my mind for sure.

I'm obsessed with this song and the skaters. The choreography and execution is just fabulous.
-
The choreography, the fact it was done in one shot at night, and on skates is impressive.Β
-
I don't know man, I feel like I could just watch those girls skate all day.
-
These women are so strong and graceful. They are so talented!
-
Thanks to these girls, I've learned how to skate - and after two years - hell, I can do a lot of these tricks! Thanks Chet, thank you girls!
-
That's A+ Cinematography right there: the One-take feeling, the visual representation of the music at the start of the track, the lighting.... just pure gold.
-
fuck it I'm buying my wife roller skates for Christmas
-
Whoβs here 2024?
-
8 years old and still the best video with ZERO CGI. Continued love and respect to you "Chet", the skaters, and the fantastic director Hiro Murai.
-
can we just all agree how well choreographed this video was? These girls were awesome π
-
me: imagining myself recreating this video with my skate girl gang also me: laying in bed eating chocolate realizing I don't have a skate girl gang

Everything in this video is insanely well choreographed and watching these three women skate can only be defined as the poetry of motion!
-
The three skaters in the music video, which was directed by Hiro Mirai, are Appelusa McGlynn, April Corley and Candice Heiden. All three are accomplished skaters from the Greater Los Angeles Area. The choreography in the video was done by Ryan Heffington. Awesome video!!!
-
Still one of the most impressive music videos ever made.
