I had this movie as a child. Iโm not exaggerating when I say I watched it a few hundred times.
-
So great to see my fellow 43 year olds enjoying this bit of our childhood. The algorithm is clearly working.
-
A certified childhood classic
-
This was my absolute favorite as a kid. I had no idea it was from before I was born. I used to watch this with my brother when we were kids. He has since passed so this brings up some memories. I finally found this on DVD about 12 years ago and I remember being so happy to finally own it. Great movie. Thank you for posting this.

I adored this movie as a child! Here I am, 43, and couldn't wait to watch it again!!!! SO glad I came across it!
-
The very specific sounds of Lucy crying is woven into my childhood. It's so recognizable and iconic. Thank you for posting this. It's a treasure that should not be lost to time
-
You know, of all the Narnia books and movies, the story of the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe will always be my favorite.
-
I had this movie on VHS as a child. I use to watch It all the time. I'm 43 now. WOW ! The memories. Thank you for posting this !

I'm 57 and I still love this version. I've watched this many times too!โคโคโค

I watched this on TV when I was 12 in 1979. I can still vividly recall that I was sick with fright and revulsion when the demon with the scissors jumped up to shave Aslan, and they were all laughing. I knew Aslan represented Jesus, bit nothing I saw or heard in church as a child scared me the way the scene from this cartoon did! And at the end, when the kids accidentally went back to WW2 Era England, and lost Narnia and their adulthood, that actually hurt me somehow ๐ข

This made me 8 years old all over again. โค

This randomly popped up on the algorithm and I clicked so fast IT WAS MY CHILDHOOD omg I had a huge crush on Mr Tumnus (he's why i love mythical fawn characters) and Edmund lol and was obsessed with the name Edmund for most of my childhood... omg so many little things in this film have stayed with me - like Turkish delight looking more delicious than it actually is - the tea and sandwiches the beavers serve in the hiding place always looked delicious too... the music instantly hits my soul... aaaahhh they don't make animation like this anymore ๐ (I'm sounding so old now lol)
-
I remember seeing this when I was a kid and it blew my mind. Second only to The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings.
-
the childhood memories just UNLOCKED like a punch in the face
-
I remember when they put this on in my school. It was always on those days before we broke up for half term, and teachers couldn't be arsed with teaching us.
-
I always loved the beautiful music score in this version.
-
This just got dug up and excavated from the deepest recesses of my memory
-
This brings back awesome memories of watching this as a wee lad. Good times.

This is the only version I have ever known. The new stuff was ok. But this one is special to my heart. Known itMy entire life. My church played this for us a kids while our Parents went to church church.
