The child portraying ashley, the adult portraying halsey but also the role brittany played for ash as a kid, the way ash made up halsey to be less alone (swinging on the set together), the way there is only halsey now, and ashley has disappeared (halsey alone on the swing set), also the angry men in your house transforming from your father into your partner. Oh the layers!! AMAZING

Full disclosure - 57yo male... Halsey's talent is astounding... from her voice to her songwriting, artistic and creative abilities... and her honesty. I was stunned by her SNL appearance painting live while singing 'Eastside' (stunning) to the dichotomy of images in this video... the face is always 'on'. I cried when she took that wig off. I knew she was sick - had seen it in the news. My wife went through chemo this year so the imagery of Halsey in the chair, no hair, with the IV hits... Her honesty is what makes Halsey (Ashley) such an important and enjoyable artist in today's sea of noise.

Usually when I love an original song so much I don't like when it gets sampled, but Halsey truly made Lucky into something her own while paying the perfect tribute to Britney. It's so beautiful and raw, I love this version just as much ❤

I hope the “haven’t you heard” transitions into the next song

To have been able to witness Britney world premiere ‘Lucky’ in 2000 & to have it sampled by Halsey in 2024 is truly a emotional full circle moment ❤🥹
