Detachment has actually made me kinder and.closer to others. Basically, you are detaching from your ego.

My Dad used to say, " the only constant is CHANGE"

"Not getting too attached to "things."" People & love are not a "thing." Unhealthy attachment is not refferring to love & proper love is not an attachment but a bond that we came here to earth to experience. I feel Buddha was referring to material possessions. 🙏🏼💗

This is a great video but we must not be so caring , kind and compassionate to others that they take advantage of our niceness. We must also take care of our lives.
  • Buddhism teaches that true happiness comes from within, not from external sources like possessions or constant pursuit of pleasure.

Thank you for the gentle nudge that nothing lasts forever but somehow becomes a part of who we are.
  • I was aware of these 6 concepts, but your teaching clarifies and illuminates each one of them, so that now I can work to embrace them into my life, now that their meaning is clear. In fact I would say that I feel a sense of peace, at least for this moment. I have known that a sense of peace and harmony in life comes from within, which gives one the power to bring this about, not to rely on external sources such as family, friends or the love and support of others. Achieving this will in and of itself draw others into your life. From someone who is overwhelmed with responsibilities, demands of herself, and facing the last part of life. I shall listen your words frequently, with gratitude I thank you.
  • Impermanence, non-attachment, middleway, compassion, mindfulness, acceptance - six practices for calm, inner peace and happiness
  • Literally, this is why I love and believe in the Buddhism. Such inspiring and life changing lessons thought by Buddhism ❤.

I read all the commentaries and rejoice in the profound gratitude for these teachings that everybody expresses. That in itself is proof enough that the teachings of the Buddha originates from the innate nature of wisdom, that we are all part of. All we need to do is to be aware of it and let it lead the way for us in our daily lives.
