Will the Splattershot Pro EVER Be GOOD in Splatoon 3?

In my honest opinion coming in to Splatoon 3, this has been the worse the Splattshot pro has been in ALL three Splatoon games so far.
In this video i will explain what holds it back and if there is a way we can make the Splattershot Pro better!

    While we do a squeezer comparison a few days ago I saw a post that said pro with MAX run speed strafes slower then base squeezer, that just feels unfair. Buffing the run speed curve could be a cool way to buff it to encourage builds like yours, since not many shooters get to run it it would be kinda unique as well as make it benefit from cooler more. This was a cool topic very fun to watch.

    If angle shooter gets the right buff to make it alot better where the trip wire can do damage or if it gets a paint buff to where the line paints a thin line below itself the vanilla kit would be amazing

    I don't think pro will ever be good until they remove squeezer unfortunately 😭 That weapon's just so much better in every way

    I remember the pro was the weapon to get me into X rank for the first time in S2. I hope it gets more love, but then again I like outperforming others with "bad" weapons or off-meta picks.

    As a Dual Squelcher mourner, I love the Pro but it's movement and lack of paint is indeed what turns me off of the weapon most of the time.

    splattershot pro has so much potential, its just that the shot velocity and the extra range is needed badly. squeezer could honestly be at risk if it received those buffs. the kit is honestly not that bad, angle can be used to mark enemies and crab is well, crab. also, its ink-hungriness can be a problem if you aren't running ink saver main. it just needs 3 buffs honestly.

    8:48 For Vpro specifiacally: give line marker 20 dmg if you hit the line (this will apply only one time). give line marker the same effect of sting ray beam just 4 times smaller than that OR make that every time you hit a wall with line it will refresh it's range just 10 percent shorter so that line marker would actually just bounce off walls more than 1 time. For pro in general: -increse the effect of run speed. -increse the effect of intensify. - increse shot velocity. - nerf squeezer cuz that thing is also ruining nautilus...

    i’m a big casual player, but my kit for pro ever since the second game has always been, run/swim speed, with main and ink recovery. i’m just someone who likes to have a lot of movement. and luckily it just so happened to work with pro so much, that it became one of my biggest mains in 2. and i’ve been even luckier to get something so close to that pro kit in the third game. so it just feels like i’ve just transferred my splat 2 gear to three. it’s genuinely insane on how lucky i got, but i’ve never stopped having fun with pro

    Yeah, what dude means by sluggish I assume it refers to how pro feels a bit outdated to other shooters, Basically every short range shooter got a ton of buffs in S2, referring to speed, paint and more, and shooters like pro, 96 and h3 feel so outdated

    Honestly it feels like what Nintendo is trying to do is make pro a squeezer jr in a sort of sense, with it having better paint than squeezer while having less range

    This weapon lacks the power of the 96 and the speed of squeezer it’s like this weird underdeveloped middle child. Lol. Imo the pro is just way to slow with no real reward or reason To play it other than preference.

    While it might be a bit aggressive/fast-paced, could you try opening gambit? That provides you with the movement you want and you can incorporate other things like ink recovery

    I use the (Forge) Splattershot Pro because of the booyah bombs (I'm coming from the Aerospray RG) and for a very specific game mode: Rainmaker. Descent (Long) range and 3 shot kill. However, it's an ink guzzler and slow fire rate so you have to be precise at aiming and not wasting your ink unnecessarly

    Im a squeezer main but pro mains are like our cousins and i would absolutely like them to get buffed

    I remember picking up the Pro during the Splatfest demo and feeling that something was wrong, i want to give it a shot in ranked because it was one of my favourite weapon in S2 and i will take inspo from your build to do so
