    My biggest issue with Dynamo is the inconsistent hitbox. Sometimes an enemy is well within range but manages to slip through a gap in the flying ink, which is just rng based and frustrating imo. Buff the damage / consistency and it would be really good
  • As a current Dynamo main i want only two things; the horizontal flick to paint under my feet and at least slightly better hitbox consistency with the vertical flick. Slightly better damage fall off would be nice so its not so punishing to be one pixel out of kill range would be nice but other than that I'm happy with the weapon.
  • Gold Dynamo got me hooked back in Splat 1, and I’ve been a Gold Dynamo main ever since. Splat 3 is killing me cause I hate the normal Dynamo’s kit in 3 but they refuse to give us the Gold back even though it’s been in the files (and even the trailer) since the beginning of 3. Nintendo please, I just want to suffer the normal dynamo problems but with my Gold Dynamo instead of the normal Dynamo!

    For those who saw AP at the start of the video and were confused: AP stands for ability points, and is a way of quantifying how much of a boost you're getting from a gear ability. Each sub ability gives you 3 AP and each main ability gives you 10. So, in that clip at the start, one sub if ink saver main was equipped. Hope this helps :)

    34:00 When it comes to canceling your flick attacks, you could also make it so that canceling it will consume ink as if you followed through with the flick. This means that the Dynamo will still use 18% (or 17%) of your ink tank if you cancel the flick, and you will still have to deal with the ink refill delay.

    18:58 omg that's me :) Dynamo main here, some more details about dyna in 2&3: all the buffs and mpu dynamo got in 2 doesn't feel significant cause it only makes up for all the nerfs dyna got at the start of 2, tho it has really good kits to choose from Splat3 dyna is really mobile due to sprinkler and squid rolling, mastering squid roll gives u a fighting chance against all the strong weapon kits in 3, cooler can be used as a wall to block attacks and allows dyna to run respawn punisher very effectively as a semi backline in rainmaker Really hope it gets more buffs, of course increasing its range and ohko range is really nice but I think reworking vert flick by making it do 60 min damage and more object damage in general can make it a lot stronger(still gonna lose to machine cause that thing is born as a dyna slayer)

    Tacticooler Respawn Punisher is kinda good on the dynamo. Pop it, go ham and get one or two picks with little to no draw back to you getting splatted. It's very risky however since getting taken out when you don't have the tact buff is very detrimental.

    The best way to actually go about buffing Dynamo is making the minimum damage 60. This improves the vertical flick, making it more of a poking tool, and it also makes the hori flick more consistent in splatting opponents. You might say: "that's too much damage, that'd be insanely broken, especially with the big hitbox", but I counter that argument with the fact that Splatana Stamper gets to do 70 damage with a charged slash way faster than a Dynamo could dream of, even if the hitbox is way smaller.

    I wish dynamo's base kit had autobomb or burst bomb instead of sprinkler, it would allow dynamo to apply more pressure and be more aggresive, something the kit was already doing thanks to Tacticooler.
  • 22:38 I actually think Ink Armor canceling your swings was a indirect buff and a neat trick for the Gold Dynamo roller. As someone who played a lot of Guilty Gear, I used the Ink Armor activation as a "Roman Cancel" my swings and either throw a splat bomb, or swim away to throw my opponents off. And yes, everytime I activated my special I would yell "RATED R!" lol

    They should buff in a way to emphasize its power. Every time your vertical flick hits the floor, it should make a wavebreaker shockwave. I will not elaborate.
  • I love rushing in with tactic cooler. I have clips of getting quads, getting the special again and just run in.
  • Really good video! I’ve been playing dynamo since k dynamo dropped and feel like you’ve covered basically everything. I feel like in splat 3 dynamo is just counted by almost everything so most players having been returning to QR sets and stealth jump. I’ve always played the weapon aggro so it’s interesting seeing the weapon take on a more aggressive role compared to the more passive role from splat 2. Hopefully we get gold’s kit soon 💀💀💀
