We haven’t got many X Men sets because Fox owned the Film Rights. Same why we never got The Fantastic Four in Lego. But thanks to the Disney x Fox Merger we might get more! Especially with the MCU!

We really need a Jean grey, classic cyclops, mystique, and colossus. I think the Disney-fox acquisition will really push all the X-men Merch forwards.

I heard of a rumor that said Lego X-Men may come back in Lego Spiderman Sets. I think Disney and Lego could really capitalize on having the X-Men in the What if? show.

We might see a resurgence of X-Men since the license belongs to Disney now that they brought fox so they could make some comic sets MCU based sets if they're introduced. Also firestar is in the bugle and like you said he shows up on the what if art.

When it comes to Lego's superhero lines, It's a darn shame that we barely get any DC Sets anymore while we get hundreds of Marvel sets, I spy an obvious bias.

Lego did an unofficial suicide squad wave with Batman in 2016 they should do the same for the 2021 suicide squad movie

Lego 76202 Wolverine mech: back from death. Of all the superheroes that deserve mechs like Hulk, (Batman), Antman, etc., Lego finally chose to make Wolverine's even though they literally hadn't made X-Men sets in 5 years. I think they have many sets to come, when people started to show signs of boredom with Avengers sets and Spiderman sets.

I think it would be cool to see night crawler. Also maybe if the X-Men and Fantastic 4 films are successful we can see sets based on them. Maybe even see a civil war movie again but this time it's the Advengers Vs X-Men it will be complicated without black widow and iron man but I think it would be nice so that we can get X-Men fighting Avengers sets.
