Thank you Conan, for letting Mel speak without interruption.  You have a very respectful interview style.  Very entertaining. Great history.

Just sat poolside smoking weed with my 74 yr old father (Vietnam vet), laughing extremely hard watching this whole thing with minimal pee breaks. Thank you to you both for getting together to do such a fantastic interview.

This was an hour really well spent. Thank you Conan for giving us a chance to see Mel in such a chill setting.

Mel's memories are so vivid and he's a wonderful storyteller.

I only intended on watching a few minutes of this. Couldn't stop until the end. Great great stuff. There's not much better than listening a true artist talk about their craft. Love Mel Brooks.

Mel's memory is most definitely exceptional. Even as a 14 year-old-boy he knew all of the words to a play he wasn't even in, and then later he just remembers everything, including the details of meals. Astonishing.

I think I can honestly listen to Mel Brooks talk about anything forever.

I was 5 when I saw "Blazing Saddles" for the first time. I didn't remember much of it, but I was surprised when I saw the klansmen in Fried Green Tomatoes. Their robes were wrong, because they were missing "Have a Nice Day." I was 6 when I watched Spaceballs for the first time. Both movies were watched in my living room and they were part of some family movie night. I was 10 when I watched "Robin Hood: Men in Tights." I was in a hotel room in North Carolina attending a family reunion. I was 12 when I watched "Young Frankenstein." I was home from school, sick, and I felt like I was going to laugh until I died. I can't tell you what I did last week. That's the power of Mel Brooks.

conan should return to this, he would become even better at simply by doing it more. Interviewing people is an incredible artform

"You've said.. profoundly, without realizing - because you're not that smart..." Lol! Mel is hilarious without even trying. 19:44.

This was inspiring, This man is one of the greats and has that quick wit, strong intelligence that you just don't see anymore and at his age, he's as snappy as ever. It's as if he's not even aging. Please God, let this man live forever, world needs more like him.

Mel Brooks has such a prodigious memory! And truly intellectual. What a great oral history. Tip o' the hat to Conan.

This is one of the best interviews I've watched/listened to ever. Period. Absolutely fantastic discussion, great vibe, great chemistry. Could listen all day long. Conan is a great host and Mel Brooks has just all the coolest stories. LOVE it. Thanks for doing these! Watched every episode of Serious Jibber-Jabber. Can't wait for the next installment.

After all these years, he's still sharp. I hope he gets to do some kind of project before he passes on. Something original too. He might be old but damn, he's got it together.

One word that is seldom used to describe Mel Brooks is "gentleman", but BOY, is he EVER!  He always seems like a guy you could walk up to an be greeted as a friend.  A CRAZY friend, but a good buddy, nevertheless.  He is a national treasure.

There's just something in the way he says "There was a place on Coney Island" that forces you to listen in silence. "The Producers" is my favourite film ever.
