Dark Souls III is a 2016 action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.
Set in the Kingdom of Lothric, a bell has rung to signal that the First Flame, responsible for maintaining the Age of Fire, is dying out. As has happened many times before, the coming of the Age of Dark produces the undead: cursed beings that rise after death. The Age of Fire can be prolonged with the linking of the fire, a ritual in which great lords and heroes sacrifice their souls to rekindle the First Flame.

Fromsoft games have def becomes some of my favorite, they're challenging, but rewarding. A lot of it for me lies in patience and making sure you really understand the mechanics and what you're up against. It doesn't baby you, which some people don't like. Different Strokes for different folks. I find it so rewarding to beat an epic boss, and say "who's next?". Def don't knock it till you try it. Good video, thanks for the commentary

I played Demon's Souls when it was originally released, but it didn't really 'click'. I could beat the tutorial demon, but I don't think I made it to the first actual boss. I picked up Dark Souls III in 2017, played through it until I ran into a Dancer-shaped wall that no matter what I did, I just couldn't beat, and ended up uninstalling and dropping the game. Decided to try again in 2020 and something just clicked. Beat Soul of Cinder, discovered the DLCs, have done multiple runs, even did an SL1 playthrough (though I haven't even tried fighting Midyr, Freide, or Nameless King with that one). It's still a hard game. I still die, a lot. But it's easily one of my all time favorites.
