I strongly agree that everybody needs a physical, cerebral, and creative hobby, but not for the sake of attraction. You will always be less motivated to do a hobby that is extrinsically motivated rather than one you enjoy without the perceptions of others

00:34 - 01:26 Attractive hobbies are important to become an ideal college student. Not just good looks and grades, but also a colorful life and hobbies. Hobbies enrich life and help find life's purpose. 01:53 - 03:09 Need a physical hobby like gym, sports. This builds physique and shows discipline. Also gives better energy and focus. 03:38 - 04:29 Need a cerebral hobby like reading, chess, coding. This improves thinking ability, problem-solving and money-making skills. 04:59 - 06:24 Need a creative hobby like music, art, writing. This enriches social life, shows versatility. Can reminisce when old. 06:47 Self-improvement is important. Choosing the right hobbies improves abilities in all aspects, makes you more attractive. Noted by NoteGPT

I just entered university, I was going on about choosing hobbies and exploring them, and this video just popped up in my recommendation and it could not have been at an ever better timing! The way you put it was really good and on the point. Especially the things you talked about the benefit of each type of hobby, I feel like I knew it but still I needed that kick start, really thanks for that!

as my highchool teacher always said : to be well rounded, you need a skill, a sport, and an instruement

Having your hobbies tailored in terms of how attractive you feel they are to other people or social standards is extremely ugly on an existential level. You don’t need to rationalize why or what you love in terms of categories or disciplines. That’s the beauty of hobbies, they don’t need to be beholden to any pressures, they are what you love. Im all for people exploring what they love to do creatively, spiritually, and self-improvement wise as a whole but there’s no reason for things to have to be status indicators of attractiveness or high performance . I don’t know why so many young men think like this.

Hey Collin! You are amazing dude. Just discovered some of the real example of discipline . Never knew that hobby has some kinda type like you described. All those skills & mindset are basic yet rarely found...glad you have gone through all of 'em in details. Keep going!

Just discovered you through this video. Your points and examples are spot on. You come off as humble and practical, and that screams personality to me, and I'm sure to many others. Keep doing what you're doing, and the best of luck on your studies. You earned a Sub.

Good tips, i've started reading and working out 2 years ago when i was in high school and i has really helped in every aspect of my life. Recently i started university and i alternate playing guitar and playing a tactical videogames but i get bored easily doing these stuff unlike fitness or reading :)

Thanks a lot, collin! Whenever I'm about to give up, lose motivation, get a low grade, etc. your channel is my go-to. I am a Girl and I want to be the best version of myself in 5-10 years. Love lots!!

I lift, run, and do BJJ. I have a powerlifting competition in December and a Marathon in February. For the cerebral hobbies I am learning to play chess as of 3 months ago and I also read a lot which is something I have always done. For the creative hobby I am learning photography.

Managed to keep up my college routine now that I got my first job. I'd recommend these to everyone: gym/crossfit (it's not a bunch of stupid kipping pullups, the workouts are super good where I train), Latino dance (this can be approached creatively but it's mostly cerebral for guys), guitar (once again kind of cerebral, music theory and the like, but I guess I'm just not at the level where I can express myself). I have zero free time but I love it.
