Fawkes swoops in out of nowhere and sheds tears on Snape's wounds from Nagini, healing them. He had proven his loyalty to Dumbledore, restored his own soul, and given Harry everything he needed to defeat the Dark Lord so Fawkes saves Snape from death.

Snape would never make a Horcrux. He would want to see Lily again. That is why I think he wanted the DADA job in hopes that the curse would unlive him. 😢

You've commented on "Would Snape feel different if Harry was a girl" a bunch of times, and I think it could be an interesting What If. Does it change anything about how the Dursleys treat Harry? How does the story change if Snape does like Harry? Would Harry become better faster friends with Hermione if they shared a dorm, and how does this affect Sorcerer's Stone? It's tricky to know how much/little it would change, but it could be a fun What If to do.
